Homeless Vermonters are staying at this property. Everyone was quiet and polite and the staff was excellent. The room was clean but needed renovation.

Staff was rude. When we asked them if we can change the room because there was a broken security lock at the door, the man at the counter (I think he is owner or manager) said “do you think where you come from is safer?”. That made me feel very angry. Breakfast is very limited and no utensils prepared.

Found what turned out to be baby roaches that had hatched in the box of tissues in the room. This happened in the morning as we were getting ready to leave otherwise we would not have stayed. Showed the tissues with egg sack and pictures to staff, but never heard anything back from management.

The bedsprings is covered in a sheet that was practically black/dark grey- hasnt been washed. The bathroom fan fixture has no lens posing a safety risk. The toilet barely flushed-likely the vent is obstructed, you shower and the drain backs up. The barely English speaking desk attendant (likeable) situated me furthest from my ADA parking. Would I stay here again? Nope- no way

This hotel was exactly what I expected, no frills but did the job. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and it was nice to have a balcony overlooking the back where you could hear the river in the distance. There was a nice gas station right next door if you needed to stock up on essentials.

Room was clean and location was convenient. Couldn’t get the internet to work before we left and breakfast was just starch, and was mostly empty when we went down halfway through. Staff were all friendly though and refilled as best they could after a few minutes

It's time to renovate!
After a long warm day on the road we just wanted to get to our room and cool down and relax. We didn't get that warm welcoming feeling when walking into the room though. The hotel is very tired and needs some serious updating. No A/C in any of the rooms or so we were told. (They did provide a fan though.) The bath tub and shower curtain had mold stains, the sliding glass door wouldn't lock. We even found the previous guests dirty underwear under the curtains. :( We stayed the night there, and slept ok because we were exhausted, but I can't say that I would recommend this hotel to anyone until it does some renovations.

Not Bad, Comfortable Inn
Our 3nd stay here over a 3 week period. We had to carry our luggage of which we travel with a lot) a short distance from the car to our front ground floor room. We requested a ground floor and we were provided with one. It took a while to check-in since the desk attendant was pre-occupied during the 3 pm check-in. The room has a wonderful balcony to oversee the back, but no deck chairs to sit on. Breakfast was worse then the last time. Just bread/bagels, butter, and grape jam. No cream cheese or a variety of jams. They also offer waffles and some fruit. This Inn could off a bit more variety.

Rooms spacious and has a fridge and all the amenities TV was somewhat complicated it's fairly close to town and restaurants and there's a convenience store and gas station nearby.

The hotel is situated on a large lot with views of the hills and lawn. The room was large and updated, but left to run down. Plugs didn't work, holes in the screen that had tape over them. The furniture is scuffy and an apparant dog made huge scratches on the bathroom door. It's as if there is no maintance person at this hotel to continue with the updating efforts.

It’s a bit dated. The ac wasn’t working and wasn’t notified until I had payed. The TV remote was defective. Breakfast was dismal. Not even any utensils available. Milk jug almost empty. Heard an employee make a remark about working in the service industry was beneath them when I asked for some utensils.

Spacious rooms although outdated decor. Very clean. Breakfast choices were limited. No eggs or yogurt but did have a waffle machine. I would definitely stay here again.

The guy, MXXX at the front desk helped me hook my cell phone up to your WiFi! thank you! He also checked my room to confirm the smell of tobacco was in the no smoking room. Once about 40 years ago, I had a no smoking room and found out that the cleaning woman was taking her break and smoking in my room? I've always wondered about that. The refrigerator in the room was terribly noisey and the back of the bureau it is in should be open to allow the heat to dissipate. You need to have an energy expert help you with your building.

Property is somewhat under construction. New heating/ac units were being installed. In our room there was a four inch open hole in the wall. Otherwise everything was good.

Old. Needs updating desperately. Room was clean, but ac was broken, and sliding door to balcony had no screen. When calling front desk, phone didn’t work, and couch in room was stained. Room smelled like smoke even though it is supposed to be a smoke free property. No room change was offered and it was a short overnight stay as we were visiting Dog Mountain or I would have insisted on switching rooms. I would not stay here again.

Property area is fine and felt safe. However room interior was dirty (Vents dirty, cealing stains, pealing wallpaper in bathroom ect.) No AC, there was a unit in the room but was not hooked up. Was clearly known since a box fan was provided to blow air. Overpriced for the quality of stay.

Nice Place, But A Bit Pricey
Very nice Inn, but a bit pricey for what you get, The A/C was out in our King Room, but we accepted a twin double room at the king bed price. The problems with booking via expedia. The breakfast was dismal. Not much to offer for the price. No restaurants near by and nothing open on the Tuesday when we were there. The staff member at the desk though was very friendly and helpful.

I was looking forwards to the motel's advertised pool after a drive of five hours, only to be told that it was closed and had been for the entire season. When this is the property's main attraction, it kind of seems like something about which the inn should have notified Expedia!
