Northeast Greenland National Park

Some good things some not so good. My room was nice. Spacious with a good size bathroom. However the TV did not work the mattress pad was too small for the bed, so they used two pads, one on top of the other, in an attempt to cover the bed. As a result, the seam from one of the pads was right where I would be sleeping. I had to completely unmake the bed and reposition the pads so that I could sleep. The heat in the rooms is radiant heat from the floor and it did not warm my room up enough - I was shivering before I got into the shower. A couple of the staff members were very nice and helped me with where to go to see the Northern Lights, where to store my luggage, calling a taxi for me, etc. but a couple of others were not so pleasant. The young man on the night shift was downright rude and had no interest in talking to me. I believe he grunted at me at one point! Check-out time of 10 am is too early. Breakfast is served from 6-9, which IMO is not late enough. Breakfast was minimal, but I managed to fill up enough. However the food service staff did a poor job. No one was cleaning tables and I had to sit at one that was sticky and full of crumbs. The coffee urn was empty. I waited 20 minutes for someone to realize it and finally went to the kitchen door and told someone it was empty. An excellent location right in the city center and excellent wifi. And all of this for only $188 per night USD.
