Family Getaway in Interior, SD – Just 5 Min to Badlands NP

Family Getaway in Interior, SD – Just 5 Min to Badlands NP

10/10 Excellent
"We had a fantastic time in Interior! The place was spotless, with plenty of room for our family of 5 to relax after a day of adventuring in the Badlands. You absolutely cannot beat this location, which made it possible for us to do early hikes, relax in the heat of the day and then go out for more activities before nightfall. You are literally 3 mins from the park. Easy check-in/out. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend it. The staff at the little Cowboy Corner store are also lovely. Check them out while you are here if you can."

Bighorn Bend Tiny Home

Bighorn Bend Tiny Home

10/10 Excellent
"This was a fantastic vacation setting for a family of three adults who enjoy camping. We found the “tiny home” use of a tiny space to be ingenious and it provided many practical advantages over actual camping (refrigerator, stove, washer/dryer, etc.) It definitely added to our sense of adventure in the Badlands! A great choice for people who are comfortable climbing ladders."

Buffalo Drift Tiny Home

Buffalo Drift Tiny Home

10/10 Excellent
"My sister and I recently spent 7 nights in the Buffalo Drift tiny home (camper) and we loved it! The camper was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It's located only a couple miles from the entrance to Badlands National Park. We got to do so many things: explored and hiked through the Badlands, went to Mount Rushmore, the Chief Crazy Horse Monument, and the city of Deadwood and Mt. Moriah Cemetery where Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane are buried. We even drove over to Wyoming to view and hike around the Devil's Tower Monument. We also visited Wall Drug Store in Wall, SD and explored a lot of the local Native American and Old West history. The list goes on but I think one of the best things was catching the sunset from different spots within the Badlands each night. So beautiful! There were so many things to do within a 3 hour drive of this location. The town of Interior is very small and quiet. There's a bar/restaurant, Wagon Wheel Bar, within walking distance of the camper that serves great burgers. The owners, Thomas and Bob were very nice and had great communication with us. I highly recommend this place and would totally stay again!"
