Ok if your not bothered where you lay your head ,room was about the size of a rabbit hutch, getting up to it was a joke ,steep steps, poor lighting , no cold sink tap broken ,shower was rammy ,wont be rushing back

Basic single room above a pub, accessed by an outside staircase. Simple and fairly clean. No signal on TV. When I checked in I enquired about breakfast and was told would be an extra £6.95 and I could have it at 8:30 or 9:00 am. I opted for 8:30, went to the bar which was deserted and finally at 8:45 am someone turned up in her dressing gown to announce with a smirk that no-one has told her and I would have to go elsewhere for my breakfast.

It was a good location. Good parking. 1 mile from centre. Was difficult to check in as the pub wasn't open early, but once in, everything was fine. A good place to stay.

Very disappointed with the whole experience of our stay from checking in to what I can only describe as a breakfast that wasn't fit for a dog,everything was so unprofessional, they need to take a long hard look at how a B and B should be run for the sake of there business.

Good location for walking into york.
Bedroom was clean and comfortable. Shower tiles needed grouting, and shower itself a bit grubby. It was very hot weather when we stayed, but too noisy with the main road to have the window open

The advertising of this place is misleading under the Trades Description Act 1968. It is dirty and the Manageress is the rudest person you could meet. The photos on the website depict quite a nice hostel. It's nothing like the photos. DO NOT STAY HERE

The pub and staff were nice. The room itself was basic but clean. There was no heating in the bathroom which was very cold. The biggest negative was having to climb the fire escape to get to the room which was a little alarming and anyone with mobility problems would struggle.

Served its purpose. Budget accommodation but clean and staff very polite and helpful. If you want luxury then perhaps not here. The room was clean, bed comfortable and breakfast ok. Shower was a little dodgy in room 5 but overall we got what we booked.
