The walls were thin and you could easily hear the next rooms including their love making loud and clear. Other than that it was clean and the staff were nice. We got what we paid for.

Ideally located a stones throw from York center.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had a room at the back of hotel which was quiet and calm. Bed was super comfy. All in all, I'd go back to this hotel. For a short break, perfect.

Inexpensive and Quality Hotel - Helpful staff

Posted 23-May-2017
Pros: See above
Cons: Nothing
Location: See above.
Within easy walking distance of the York train station and the National Railway Museum. Comfortable and had the best thermostatic temperature control of any hotel we have stayed in Europe in recent times. Their breakfast buffet was superb. Free internet. The hotel stored our luggage when we took the train to Shildon to see the second half of the National Railway museum and they arranged for a taxi to take us, and our luggage, to the train station that evening so we could catch our train to London. The staff were very helpful and great.

Close to the city centre and race course

The bed was large which was good but not much room to get round it. Not enough coat hanger for two people

Hotel in York

Posted 14-May-2017
Pros: Casual and clean ...well run by friendly staff.
Cons: more selection of evening meals.
Location: See York Tourist Guide ...Very good
The hotel was spotlessly clean , every day the room was serviced with bed made ,Tea/coffee re stocked ,clean towels the staff friendly and helpful and answered any question I had about where places were in the town.....The breakfast was a self optional .. you served yourself with plenty of choice of breakfast to have and you could have as much as you wanted.

Ok hotel

Posted 22-Apr-2017
Hotel was ok. It was fine just for the one night wouldn't stay any longer than that. Bedrooms are far too small you can't move in them. There was some work needed done outside my bedroom door as the wall was breaking. Wouldn't go again

Clean and quiet hotel near to the centre of York

Posted 04-Apr-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: A slightly larger room would have been nice
Location: Easily accessible to the centre and plenty of shopping, food and drinking establishments
Room was clean, not overly large, but sufficient for a one night stay. Very quiet in and around the hotel and a short walk to the centre. We were able to check in early which was an added bonus.

Must visit York

Posted 22-Mar-2017
Pros: Close to the center of York. Walking distance to see the attractions and be in the middle of the old town in minutes
Cons: more pillows. found then one on the bed a little too soft. Not impressed with the additional charge for parking. this should be free for guests!
Location: Its York.. full of history and places to see and experience. even York races.
All i can say is York is a must see for everybody. Ive not been since my school day out days a long time ago. The town is fascinating, steeped in history, good pubs, great restaurants and bars. Will be going back. Need more than one day to get round the town and see everything. Very interesting for all ages including kids. Viking center, river boat trip, open top bus tour, the cathedral the old town and the buildings and shops. The hotel was nice friendly close to amenities.
