Good value hotel close to the city centre

Posted 01-Dec-2016
Clean room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and breakfast buffet as good as any we have had in much more expensive hotels. Would recommend this budget hotel to anyone wanting to stay close to the city centre. Staff also very helpful and nothing was too much trouble

Room very small and dated.

Posted 01-Nov-2016
Location: Location good 5 minutes walk from city centre.
Room was the smallest I have had using IBIS and the overall standard of finish is not up to the standard of normal Ibis Hotels. Room was also difficult to heat. Bathroom looked date, shower allowed water out onto bathroom floor an there was some mold and dirt around the bathroom.

Convenient and comfortable

Posted 09-Oct-2016
Location: It's just a 5 minute walk to the city walls - walking round the walls is a great way to see York!
This hotel is very close to the station, and to the old city wall, so it's perfect for a quick visit to York. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The room was small, but comfortable.

Eye-watering price for an adequate only hotel.

Posted 07-Oct-2016
Location: An easy stroll to most places.
Clean but totally soulless hotel with limited parking though well located. Absolutely horrific cost that did not even include breakfast. Purely somewhere respectable to sleep in the centre of town but boy, do you pay for it.

Slightly tired hotel near town centre.

Posted 02-Oct-2016
Pros: Location and parking.
Cons: Communication with guests.
Location: Within walking distance of York centre and train station.
Good location within about 20 minutes walk from the cathedral. Parking available. Pubs nearby. We were given a wheel-chair accessible room, without any comment by staff, which meant most facilities were at knee level. The drains did not work well.

On a 3 night stay only had breakfast once as it was poor, rooms were small and had to carry a suitcase up and down stairs.

Goed hotel.

Posted 19-Sep-2016
Cons: Kamers zijn wat gehorig. Kraken van de vloer bovengelegen verdieping en gang.
Location: Goed Indiaas restaurant tegenover hotel.
Goed hotel op loopafstand van station en centrum. Prijs / kwaliteit uitstekend. Vriendelijk personeel.

Close to city centre, walls and river

Posted 09-Sep-2016
Very friendly staff. Quiet hotel, and location, despite being close to the city centre. A little sparing on the tea / coffee / snacks. E.g. One pack of 3 biscuits for 2. Nice breakfast, and great late checkout times (12 noon on a Sunday)
