YORK VISIT January 2016
Posted 28-Jan-2016 on Hotels
We were allocated a room which we realised had been designed for the disabled. Inappropriate for us but anyone wanting a room for a disabled person with a connecting door for a carer it would be ideal. The hotel has apologised for the error.
Otherwise; the room was clean, the expected facilities are provided, the staff pleasant, the breakfast good, and the location very good for accessing the centre. There is a bar downstairs if one wants a drink or a nice hot chocolate, they also serve tea and scones in the afternoon if one wants a break between day and evening activities.
Just off the inner ring road it is reasonably easy to access.
Parking available opposite hotel £10.00 per night. Gates close around 9.30 so if return later one has to ask for a member of staff to open them.
