Overall good but 1 pillow on our bed had blood on it. Assuming from that, they didn’t change the pillow cases between stays.

The room was lovely, spacious & clean. Halls as well. The entrance was uninviting, shabby, people smoking out front was not welcoming. Breakfast was good, wait staff very friendly.

Its an older property, but theyve done a lot of remodeling and revamping. Some of these remodels arent done as good as they cohld have been. The beds are pretty hard but thats about my only complaint

We had not planned to stay anywhere in Nova Scotia on our trip. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we wound up needing a place to stay. The Hotel North has been perfect for our time here! All the staff are friendly, kind, helpful and have made our stay here feel like home away from home! They have taken great care of us and our needs and wants!

EXCELLENT stay 👍
GREAT service; check in smooth; having guest laundry a bonus (they provide detergent and dryer sheets; you pay $3 for wash and $3 for dryer). Room was TERRIFIC; great mattress; plenty of towels; television channels limited but we were site seeing and had computer for streaming/books to read. Restaurant on site with SUPER service and GREAT food. — Would highly recommend as great location for doing multiple touristy loops around Cape Breton. — We didn’t utilize but it’s next to Newfoundland ferry so nice stopover for anyone needing accommodations before or after ferry travel
