The listing and the photos did not match our experience. Many things were misrepresented like the outdoor seating space and areas. The outside grill was broken, it was eventually replaced but it took a lot of communication for that to finally happen. The washer was broken and never got fixed. The living room glider chair was broken and disguised with a cushion. There were lots of ants when we got there on a weekend and someone couldn’t come until Monday. The pest control guy showed us evidence of ants being there prior to us so it was a known problem. There were no bathroom rugs upon arrival and they did bring some finally. The curtains for the lower bedroom did not cover the windows so it took some time before they finally addressed that. I was given a small refund but overall, I would not have chosen this property had it been properly represented. The pictures are outdated from its current state. The AC did not keep up during the day, when technicians finally came they said it wouldn’t be fixed properly until after we left because permission needed to be gotten from the owner for the replacement parts. I will not stay here again as there are plenty of other options that are right on the beach.

Myrtle Golf Trip

Group of friends for annual Myrtle golf trip. Have been renting at Inlet Point Villas for years and wanted to try a house for everyone to be together Initially was a little disappointed. With the house compared to the pics viewed as well as a few things not working ie toilet coffee maker and we had a rocker/glider chair. That I sat in and heard a sound that made me feel lit was unstable so nobody used it rest of the time. The grill was an absolute mess Just an fyi as someone will want to use it and it’s in horrible condition. Other than that, the property management team was extremely responsive and helpful and at the end of the day it was a beach house for us to sit on the deck and sleep. Not sure if we would come back to this property but we will definitely come back to Cherry grove beach and find a place or places via Vrbo. Amazing Views

The house was in an amazing location, it was easy to find and the ocean views were amazing. We LOVED sitting on the front porch and relaxing. The house is a bit dated there were some loose boards on the front deck, the appliances are on the older side, outlets were loose and most didn't want to hold our phone chargers they would just fall out. But to be right at the ocean was worth all of it. We are giving a 5 star rating because we knew it was going to be of a dated house, and they responded immediately with anything that came up! We would 100% stay here again!!

Ocean front house

We booked this oceanfront house for a week but, decided since we were having such a great time we contacted the host and booked it for an extra night. Then we contacted them again to extend it for two more nights! The host answered our questions very quickly.

Older house with beautiful view

House is older and needs updating. Shower drains do not work properly. Kitchen needs some decent pots and pans. Floors were dirty. We enjoyed the back deck it is very large with gas grill and fire pit. Access to the beach is up a large sand dune and is difficult for senior citizens but the beach is beautiful.

Great location …House is nicer in pics than reality

22 people will never fit in the house as stated in listing. We had 8 people and felt crowded sharing tiny bathrooms and space in general. Downstairs is completely detached from house and can only be entered going outside and down. 1 family member attempted to stay there but was welcomed by several roach looking bugs on the floor and ceiling. Overall conditions of that room were very poor also with ceiling paint flaking off scuffs on walls plaster that had ben worked on but not finished etc. house just needs a lot of freshening up done inorder to look remotely like pics. Trash cans weee all found to have trash left from previous renters and were not moved to the road as instructed when you leave . Towels and wash clothes provided were very old and dingy…..all of this in mind the house is in a good location and has a lot of promise for small family stays of 8 or less but no more

If you are looking for great access to the beach, that is the primary perk for this rental. It is nice that all rooms have two beds. The bathrooms are very small and not the most conducive for tall people. The toilets and vanities are very short. The house in general could use some TLC. The kitchen is in desperate need of pots, pans and mixing bowls. The pots and pans are so old and honestly, seemed unsafe to use. The living room furniture is very worn and two of the chairs creek and pop. In the end, youre paying for beachfront and the fact that its pet friendly. But if you are looking for the bells and whistles, this is not the property for that. Definitely more of the budget friendly property. Internet, a/c, grill and laundry worked well. Dont plan on cooking with what is in the kitchen. e needs some TLC and the kitchen in parti

Great place, great location

Everything was great. A whole lot better than a hotel. Had a few minor inconveniences like dead batteries in remotes, but we didn't go to the beach to watch TV. The room downstairs had a noisy A/C window unit, but I like sleeping with a little noise so I slept in there. The family loved the balcony, feeling the breeze and watching the water. The location is awesome, close drive to everything from restaurants to entertainment. But the best part is being able to get on the beach and back, being able to wash off your feet without walking a mile.

Amazing get away

Location was amazing, right on the backside of the dunes. Walk way to the beach, rear porch view of the ocean. Clean location. Property manager response time within a few minutes. Nice little get away for relaxing

Loved the location. The fire pit needs to be replaced, as the tray inside it is rusting out and falling apart. The beds need new mattresses, they are not very comfortable and squeak. The toilets also need to be upgraded to adult size. They are very small and are child size. Overall though had a great stay!!

I hated to do this but it was so dirty!

I have never written a review that was negative. However, unless the homeowner sees it, I’m not sure anything will change. It was embarrassing because my son’s gf mom came. Everywhere was dirty, I took pics but it was bad. I think it was cleaner when we left because of how much we did before we used it. The fire pit was a joke.. and it was one of the selling points. I got a tank of propane that was barely used and left it. It would be nice to be refunded for that and cleaning fees. The pictures are not a proper representation of what it really looks like. I have lived here all my life and did inspections every summer for over 25 yrs for McMillan. So I know what’s supposed to be done. Whoever is cleaning needs to be taught or fired! I would never check it off! As I said, unless the homeowner is made aware of the condition of the property I’m not sure of it will change. I don’t like putting any of this in writing but I keep getting request for a review. Since it was as bad as it was, maybe this will assist in getting it cleaned up properly. Being ocean front was wonderful and the view was too! I was very happy sitting in the porch enjoying the ocean! Hopefully it will get cleaned up and described more accurately.

Perfect beach house

This was the perfect beach house for my group. There were 9 of us plus 2 dogs. Location was perfect. Felt like we were on a private beach. The management team was very easy to communicate with. House could use a little TLC but I would definitely stay here again.

Nasty, smell of mold very strong ..needs remodeling. Grill was filthy and gas fire pit broke. Outside maintenance is very poor. Not a good stay.

Overall good experience!

We celebrated my brother this weekend before he gets married. Great location. Definitely compact for 9 guys in their late 20s-30s, but we enjoyed it! Be sure to read the fine print, as we didnt realize we needed to bring our own paper products like TP, soap for dishes and bathrooms. Had enough beds for all of us, and 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was convenient. Not the newest spot, but being right on the beach was perfect.

The property has a beautiful beach view. It is difficult to walk to the ocean from the back yard of the house. Very steep. The best thing about the house is the deck. The house was very dirty. I have found that at all the beach rentals through virbo that I have stayed at the past few years. We changed places this year hoping it would be better but it wasnt.

Unit could have been cleaner. All TV's were unplugged so we had to plug them all in and set up to watch. Not enough extension cords we had to rob one from one TV to provide reading light for another bedroom. Living area lighting not convenient for reading. Kitchen pots and pans selection could have been better. AC went out on labor day but was fixed same day. Outside shower was not as expected. Weather and beach were great.

Family Weekend

It had been 10 years since we were all together at a beach. None of us had ever been to Myrtle Beach. The house was perfect for the nine of us. It was just what we’d hoped. The only issue we had was that none of the televisions worked. There was no internet. We tried repeatedly to contact the property manager but only heard from her right before we were to leave. It was after hours and a weekend. We didn’t go to the beach to watch television, but it was disappointing for the children. We all would love to go back to this lovely property. It was almost perfect!!!

Very disappointed... Needs major repair work and cleaning...

Poor performing HVAC (some fans didn't work as well). Had internet issues during our stay. Bathrooms weren't cleaned properly and many roaches in the house. Toiletries supplies was almost minimal. 1 toilet paper between three bathrooms - we had to make three store trips during our short stay. Except for beach access, nothing positive to say really....

Not worth the money

While this was a ocean front house it should never be sold as housing over 20 people. There was very little room. We had 15 and it was like being in a tin can when the weather was bad. The beds were not comfortable at all. The kitchen was in terrible shape ( doors not opening , frig trays broken, oven poor. The place was not clean either. Dust on ceiling and walls, roaches, nasty rugs. Bed liens had stains and grill had no gas and was dirty. One bathroom had a clogged drain as well. Priced way to high. I will not rent again.
