"We were in the room behind the ice maker, and could hear it very clearly every time it made ice. There was also a doorbell type sound very often. The pool was closed but that wasn't noted when I booked. It's a neat old building, right on the strip and the view from the lobby windows of the storm (60+mph winds!) was just awe inspiring.
