Tiny cabin nestled in the woods
Coziness awaits you! Come relax in our beautiful, fully renovated cottage nestled among the pines just 30 miles from Seattle in the quaint town of North Bend. We are located right off the road up to Rattlesnake Lake just one mile from the lake itself. Close access to the Snoqualmie Valley Trail and all of the popular hiking and biking trails nearby. We are just 20 minutes from The Summit at Snoqualmie ski area and just a few minutes to downtown North Bend & downtown Snoqualmie.
Our cottage was built in the 1950s and was the main home for the original owners that we bought the property from until they built the main house. When we bought the property, we decided to restore the cottage and bring it back to life for people to enjoy. We recently fully renovated the space, which sits next to our main residence. Our property was a full-blown rhododendron nursery in the 1980s-1990s so you will find it popping with color in the Spring and early Summer. The cottage boasts a regular sized kitchen equipped with a microwave, Keurig, stove/oven, refrigerator with quartz counter tops and stainless steel farmhouse sink. All cooking utensils, plates, cups, silverware, etc. are onsite. WiFi access and large flat screen smart TV with built in Roku with access to thousands of titles on Netflix and Amazon Prime as well as several other apps. Please note, we do not subscribe to cable TV. Built-in electric fireplace creates a beautiful ambiance and will make you extra cozy in the cottage. Large extended length sofa that two people can comfortably lay on! Bedroom equipped with super comfortable queen sized bed you melt into. PLEASE NOTE: the bedroom has an angled ceiling for maximum coziness, so it’s very low on one side. Guests need to take extra caution when walking through the bedroom. Air mattress also available upon request. Bathroom has beautiful marble vanity and full sized tub/shower combo with stocked shampoos, shower gels.
In the Summer months, outside you will chairs to relax and gaze up at the stars at night! Recently added is a propane fire pit to enjoy with easy start that also doubles as a table. You may also hear the little laughter from our two small daughters. We will be sure to keep noise to a minimum. We also have chickens (no roosters) onsite but they are on the other side of the property so you won’t really hear them. And our black house cat may occasionally wander by. She is very friendly and would love a pet.
We hope you will come experience the relaxing ambiance of the Rhodie Cottage nestled among the pines!
We always have a two night minimum and a 7 night maximum stay. For stays longer than 7 nights, feel free to send a request and we will determine if we can handle or not. Thank you!

Property was at a great location. Central to all activities in Snoqualmie Valley. The hosts were great to work with and provided a lot of assistance/recommendations on areas of interest. Would definitely stay there again.
We loved our stay that was literally nestled in the woods. This little home was probably the cleanest one we’ve ever stayed in. It was so full of charm and it was so very comfortable!
This was such a cute little cabin! Everything was very clean and tidy. The hosts were very accommodating to an almost last minute reschedule due to an emergency. Very close to many restaurants and stores. Absolutely staying again.
The cabin is located on the way to Rattlesnake Lake and ridge trails (we did not have an opportunity to hike this time). The property was spotless upon check-in, and has been very nicely done with a small but full kitchen, pretty bathroom, a comfortable living/dining area, and spacious (in that there is room to operate out of two suitcases -- not always the case in a hotel room) bedroom. The grounds are lovely; during our stay a spectacular purple azalea was blooming outside, and beside the big house were huge rhododendrons in bloom, as well. We saw a hummingbird working the blooms outside our kitchen window. If you are a tall person or two tall persons, the bed placement and size could be a bit of a problem, but it was okay for us. We would be glad to return to this property!
We area nearly retired couple. We were in town for a week visiting our adult son who lives in North Bend. Though we have visited Seattle before, we now understand why our son is sooo in love with the PNW. What a beautiful area and North Bend is a very cute mountain town that has everything anyone needs! We quickly became attached to “The Cozy Cabin in the Woods”. The owners, Tim & Erica and their giggly girls and friendly pup are located nearby and were a pure joy to encounter and catch a quick chat. The rental is exactly as advertised and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and good night’s rest between our many hiking and touring adventures. We hiked and toured the span of Mount Rainier to Seattle to Leavenworth and much in between. The rental is a convenient location from the airport and all of the mentioned destinations. Thank you, Tim & Erica, for a wonderful stay! We highly recommend!
We wanted to get out and enjoy some time away from home on our spring break but didn’t want to travel too far. This fit the bill. It’s like you’re out in the woods, but just minutes from town where there’s restaurants and some shopping. Golf, hiking… or just stay in. We enjoyed our stay at this cute, clean, comfy cottage just off Highway 18 and I-90. Close to services and things to do. We stayed two nights. We had a lovely time. The cottage is small, but enough for our purposes. There’s room for two and possibly 3. Maybe even up to 4, but that would be pushing it. (Room on the floor if you brought a blow up mattress.) You should check with the host on that. It’s decorated simply and in good taste. Everything worked the way it should. It was a return visit for one of us so you can believe that we liked it and would return. Thumbs up on this one.
Very communicative owners and beautiful little tiny home. It’s nestled in the woods as advertised and is very peaceful. South Fork is a great restaurant down the road and short drive into the historic district. Loved my stay there.
Prefect little cabin for our stay, and a surprise kitty came with it (it was the owners at lived at the house next door, but came to visit us several times :) )!
Phenomenal amenities for a tiny cabin. Lots of special touches to make you feel right at home. We also were given extra attention to detail for recommended hiking spots. We needed an extra day for which they accommodated us, in a treehouse. I loved the coziness in both spots with quietness at night for a restful retreat. Great hosts!!
Came out for 3 days to check out the area and do some hiking before continuing on our trip to Mount Baker. We had such a great stay! Everything was nice and clean and the area is wonderful as well. Hosts were very thoughtful and accommodating.
We loved our stay at this cozy cabin. It was only 20 mins away from skiing at Snoqualmie and was the perfect spot to recharge for multiple days on the mountain.
