Havgrím Seaside Hotel 1948

10/10 Excellent

"It is a small hotel, so feels very intimate and cosy. We did not want to stay in a huge resort where it can get noisy. Also the location was essential for us be cause we did not have a car. You can walk to the old town in less than 10. minutes. There is actually a free bus stop 5 minutes away. It was also very quiet. The staff was very friendly and very helpful, they helped me several times with taxi bookings and general enquiries about buses and schedules. Breakfast is delicious and they accommodate everyone's needs. Their afternoon tea is a must-do. They also make you tea or coffee in the afternoon. You eat in the dining-room/lounge and the view is just breathtaking. Leftover pastries from morning breakfast is left out and you can have them for free. The pastries are excellent, by the way. There is a hot tub in the garden looking out on the sea and Nolsoy island. The view from our room was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there if we go back to Torshavn."

"The hotel is located in a perfect spot for sights in Torshavn. Parking is close by, and you can park in front of the hotel for 30 minutes while loading or unloading. The staff was very helpful, and had many excellent recommendations. We had a great time. I would definitely recommend a stay here."

"Only stayed 1 night after arriving late on a rainy night on the ferry from the Faroes. Check in was easy by keybox. The room was clean, warm and comfortable. Walls were a bit thin with the sound of other guests clearly audible, but I stuck my earbuds in and slept soundly."
