At the gates of Alsace and at the foot of the regional park of Vosges du Nord, Marlyse and Jean-Claude invite you to spend a quiet stay in their cottage 3 stars / 3 ears "L'Ellerbach", located in Schalbach on the ground floor of their dwelling house. The ground floor accommodation of 90m² is equipped with every comfort, the beds are made on arrival and the linen is fully provided (no extra charge).
Quality accommodation with independent entrance, fully equipped kitchen (with fridge, oven, microwave, coffee maker and Senseo, dishwasher) with wood stove (wood provided), living room with TV, bathroom with shower, separate toilet (elevated) ), 2 bedrooms (one bedroom with double bed and cot overlooking the terrace, one bedroom with double bed and single bed).
At the back of the house, a private terrace with garden furniture and barbecue, and views of the owner's garden.
Side garden you will be amazed by the old limestone and the beautiful vegetable garden.
You can also taste homemade jams, seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Super nette Besitzer, Holzofen und sehr gute Ausstattung

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Das Ehepaar Schneider hat uns herzlich aufgenommen. Die Wohung ist sehr komfortabel mit Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus. Ein Holzofen sorgt für gemütliche Wärme. In unserer Abwesenheit haben Schneiders immer den Ofen versorgt, so dass wir in eine warme Wohnung zurück kamen, das war toll. Auch der Blick in den Garten mit Vogelhäuschen war sehr schön. Wir kommen wieder! ;-)

Heerlijk ruim vakantiehuis met mogelijkheid tot opladen van elektrische auto

Wij hebben er een prima vakantie gehad. De gastheer en vrouw waren zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Bij ontvangst stond een heerlijk potje zelfgemaakte jam en een flesje wijn voor ons op tafel. Voor een bakker was het 10 minuutjes rijden en deze komt zelfs 3 keer in de week aan huis, met ambachtelijk stokbrood, lekkere croissants en heerlijke taarten. Voor ons was het de eerste keer een vakantie in Frankrijk en die is ons goed bevallen. De eigenaren spraken goed Duits wat voor ons erg prettig was. In de omgeving is veel te zien en te doen en mooi om alleen al doorheen te rijden. Wat wij heel relaxed vonden is dat wij onze elektrische auto op de parkeerplaats voor de deur van de woning konden opladen met een zelf meegenomen verlengsnoer. Ook daarbij waren de eigenaren heel behulpzaam.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié nos vacances. Le village est calme tout en étant proche des sites qui nous intéressaient (balade dans le parc régional des Vosges, parc animalier Ste Croix, visite du plan incliné,...). Nos hôtes, Marlyse et Jean-Claude, ont participé à faire de notre séjour une réussite. Ils étaient présents sans être envahissants, ils sont agréables, intéressants, charmants! Malgré ce fichu virus, nous avons pu discuter ensemble, dans le respect des distances, sur la sympathique terrasse donnant sur leur incroyable potager. Bref, location à recommander!

L'accueil chaleureux de Marlyse et jean claude dans une maison très chaleureuse et bien équipée avec des grandes chambres spacieuses cuisine avec des éléments en bois rustique très classe avec tout le nécessaire salle de bain lave linge et surtout le Poêle à bois authentique bien entretenue par la charmante Marlyse en notre absence! Great hospitality

The owners Marlyse and Jean-Claude are excellent hosts. We received a warm welcome, and were even invited to join the National 14 Juillet meeting. Marlyse also treated us on Flammkuchen, a local specialty and Jean-Claude served his favorite drink. It is nice to have your own area (living room, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and outside area). One small opportunity to improve is the coverage of WiFi. This part of the Vogezen is not very crowded and perfect to take hikes, but also visits to local towns, the Ligne Maginot, and local museums.

Une maison chaleureuse, bien agencée et équipée avec un poele a bois d'époque constamment alimenté par les soins de Marlyse Nous n'avons pas pu bénéficier lors de notre court sejour d'un temps clément mais nous avons pu trouver en notre gite un reconfort tant physique (la chaleur du poele entretenu pendant notre absence, avait vite fait de nous remettre d'aplomb ) et les discussions animées partagées Ont rendus notre petit sejour fort agréable Nous vous le recommandant chaudement!!! Een perfect vakantieverblijf! Super vriendelijke huiseigenaren!

Ellerbach in Salbach is een perfect vakantiehuis! Het is volledig ingericht en schoon. De ruimtes, twee grote slaapkamers, een grote woonkeuken en woonkamer, zijn van alle gemakken voorzien. Er is een mooie badkamer en een separaat toilet. Buiten is een mooi terras, wat lekker in de schaduw ligt. Het ziet er gezellig uit door de mooie en goed verzorgde bloemen. Jean-Claude en Marlyse Schneider zijn samen een geweldige gastheer en gastvrouw. We kregen veel tips over wat er in de buurt zoal te zien is. Op hun eigen site: http://gite-ellerbach.e-monsite.com vind je diverse links naar bezienswaardigheden zoals bijvoorbeeld Le Plan Incliné de Saint-Louis-Arzviller, waar je een hoog staaltje technisch vernuft ervaart, een lift die in 4 minuten een bak water met daarin boten van boven naar beneden transporteert. Verder is een ritje met de stroomtrein van Abreschviller aangenaam, zeker met warm weer. Zeker aan te bevelen als je een voordelig, niet al te ver rijden, onderkomen zoekt in de Elzas!

Tenue parfaite de la maison au-dessus de laquelle habitent Marlyse et Jean-Claude, charmantes personnes désireuses de nous rendre le séjour des plus agréable. Formidable contact humain ! Les pièces sont grandes et lumineuses, ce qui ne gâche rien; la petite terrasse n'est pas inondée de soleil, tant mieux … Literie tout à fait adéquate, confort du salon, cuisine/salle à manger super équipées et sanitaires en parfait état, tout cela nous a fait passer une excellente semaine. La région et ses alentours ont comblé notre envie de promenades à pied ou en vélos; la location de ceux-ci est relativement rare et il serait préférable, dans la mesure du possible, d'emmener les siens ! Diversité des paysages, canaux, plans d'eau ainsi que sites à visiter, tous ces éléments ont contribué à l'intérêt de notre petit voyage. Sehr herzliche Gastgeber

Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen! Unsere Gastgeber haben sich sehr herzlich um uns und unseren kleinen Sohn gekümmert, sich stets nach unserem Wohlbefinden erkundigt und so unseren Urlaub zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis werden lassen. Die Wohnung ist komfortabel und gemütlich eingerichtet, sowie sehr sauber und ordentlich. Von Schalbach aus kann man viele Ausflüge in die Umgebung unternehmen und so ganz entspannt Land und Leute entdecken. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen und freuen uns jetzt schon auf ein Wiedersehen!

Idéal ! allez-y les yeux fermés.

Cet appartement est idéalement placé. Au calme dans un petit village, cette location fut parfaite. L'appartement est très spacieux avec 2 vraies chambres (dans certaines locations c'était tout petit - ici il y a de la place) avec des couchages pour 5 personnes (+1 lit bébé si besoin) une vraie cuisine équipée (dans laquelle on peut préparer à manger et manger) avec beaucoup de place, un salon avec une grande TV et un canapé et deux fauteuils, une SDB avec douche, lavabo + machine à laver ; et un WC. Sans compter la terrasse (si on veut manger dehors) et un petit jardin. L'appartement est bien placé, car nous étions à moins d'une demie heure du plan incliné d'Arzviller, du train d'Arbreschviller, la petite pierre, Parc animalier de Sainte croix, Hattigny ou dabo, et à peine plus d'une demie heure de Meisenthal, Fort casso, Bitche,... Bref, cette appartement se trouve dans un village assez central et au calme !!! Sans compter qu'en plus, Marlyse et Jean-Claude savent recevoir, ils sont d'une gentillesse et d'une qualité d'accueil exemplaire (si seulement tous les hôtes savaient recevoir comme eux). Le seul regret de notre séjour est que nous ne soyons pas restés plus longtemps, cela nous aurait permis de faire plus ample connaissance avec les propriétaires qui sont vraiment très gentils et qui ont su jouer avec nos enfants ! Nous y retournerons sûrement Bref, allez-y les yeux fermés, vous ne pourrez qu'être agréablement surpris.

Excellent apartment and very charming hosts.

Jean-Claude and Marlyse were the most amazing hosts. They were so helpful and obliging. We felt very much at at home here. They provided a homely atmosphere and lots of interesting insight into the local highlights of the area. The Gite was everything you would wish for. Charming, functional,, peaceful, extremely clean and close to a range of sights. The church with its Chagall window and the local Musee, faiences, gardens, Lalique muse are fantastic to visit from this idyllic location. We would certainly recommend Jean-Claude's and Marlyse's apartment. Thank you again Jean-Claude and Marlyse for a most memorable week in Alsace. Sue and John
