Twin room cost significantly more than a double, yet there is also an additional charge for each person over 1 in the room. You cant use the other bed unless you pay extra although twin costs more! Arrived and put in a double room. Told that because I had booked with Expedia (actually Wotif) that not their fault - despite confirming my booking with the hotel the week prior on arrival was told no twin rooms. The rooms were very clean including the toilet and shower. The bed was very comfortable as well, no problem for a good nights sleep. The aircon was ok, a bit on the noisy side and when I stayed the second time the aircon gave out. \[electrical problem\] However the manager soon fixed the problem and transferred me to another room. The restaurant was well run with pleasant, smiling staff. The food was also excellent. Breakfast was self service, a minor point, no tea spoons, for coffee or tea. If there is one item that could improve Walkabout Lodge it would be to clean up the surrounding gardens as well as the front of the Lodge, FIRST IMPRESSIONS COUNT. ##### Ozzy Verified ### 8/10 Good #### Kim 9 Jun 2015 Liked: Staff & service, property conditions & facilities #### Close to restaurants, woolies and servo. Meal at the restaurant was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. ( although they should really pick their time to be vaccuming. It was a little rude to be cleaning while guests are eating breakfast.
