This house was a great location and was very clean. Able to accommodate families and kids had a great time. Lots of games to play and backyard felt like you were in a treehouse. We all enjoyed our stay.
Great place!! Beautifully maintained and super clean.
Well maintained property, and the owners were easy to communicate with. Beautiful views. Very clean and well-stocked. Basement is great, air hockey and pool table a real plus.
We enjoyed our family get together which is located ten minutes from the house my grandparents owned and my aunts and uncles grew up in. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards and the fire pit. The house was large, clean, and very comfortable. I hope to visit again. It was a pleasure dealing with this family as they were so responsive to all our questions.
Quiet, cozy and relaxing property surrounded by naturally beautiful setting! We had a very relaxing time and the host made sure all our questions were answered promptly, very easy to deal with. The owners leave no stone unturned when seeing that their guests are comfortable and well provided for. If we were to come back to NJ for a visit in a heatbeat we'd choose to come back here!!
We've been visiting this lake for years and love the tranquility and enjoyment it has to offer. This home was perfect for our family. There is so much space to spend time together, but teenagers also had plenty of privacy. We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddleboards, but mostly just relaxing in the water. Thank you once again for your hospitality, We will definitely be back again soon.
Another great stay at this amazing lake house. The views are incredible. Morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake is a great way to start the day. Kayaking and floating in the inner tubes is so relaxing. Denise and Richard are the perfect hosts...very responsive and informative. Thank you for sharing your house with us again
Here's a short VRBO review:
Great family-friendly house on Lake Owassa! The setting was quiet and serene, with lots of kayaks and water activities to enjoy. The house was spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen, two washers and dryers, and plenty of entertainment like a pool table. We stayed busy the entire time. It was a short stay, but we really loved it! Our hosts were very accommodating!
Another fantastic winter stay at Lake Owassa - the house has great spaces for a group with pool table, air hockey and outside firepit. Kitchen is great for cooking at home- the view is amazing and the area is quiet. Magical. We will be back.
The house is beautiful for a large group. Well laid out with enough indoor spaces for everyone. For this last minute vacation it ended up just being my husband and my self. We ended up only using the front of the house which was big and beautiful and overlooked the lake.Great outdoor area to enjoy an evening fire each night and watch the sunset.
If you are a young active family this is a great spot for you. Much to do even kayaks and such available. We are older and just needed a place to lay our heads as we were here for a wedding. It served our purpose. If you are older as well just note that there are many steps that are hard to negotiate -- like a spiral to the downstairs and many to the dock
My cousins and I come to the area for our annual hunting trip once per year. Although we don’t hunt as much any more we still enjoy the area. The house was great. Large pool table gave us hours of fun. My cousins cast a line off the dock and caught a variety of perch and bass. All in all a great guys weekend.
Stunning amazing home has it all convenietly located we had our yearly friend getaway and everyone said this was the perfrct home!! Views are stunning even on a rainy day plenty to do layout was great lots of rooms and bathrooms we will be back!!
House was perfect for a quiet getaway. The game room and lakefront access was enough to keep the kids busy while the adults enjoyed a cocktail on the dock enjoying the amazing view. Peaceful and quiet. Could not have asked for a better setting.
We enjoyed our stay. It was very easy to get in touch with the hosts. The area was quiet/ private. We enjoyed the grounds and amenities. We would come back!!
The views from this vintage lake home are breathtaking! This home was very accommodating for our family group. It was very clean and spacious. We went swimming, kayaking and row-boating on the gorgeous lake. It was so much fun! The host was easy to reach and responded quickly. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back when we visit the area.
5th time returning to this lovely complex unfortunately will not be returning to this accommodation. Since returning we have unfortunately been charged for a missing sun lounger, that we do not recall seeing during our stay.
We stayed for 16 days and had various family members join us at assorted times. The house was perfect for us. We enjoyed coffee on the deck, reading on the dock, kayaking, floating on the water tubes, and wine in the fire pit area. When it rained…which unfortunately it did a lot, we made use of the pool table and air hockey. The location is on a quiet dead end road and because the lake is private boat traffic was limited….even over the long July 4th weekend. Denise and Richard responded quickly to any questions we had. Several good restaurants within 3 miles and a few deliver. Great place for relaxing and a quiet get away.
We have stayed at many lakefront homes over the last 9 or 10 years, but this property was one of the best! The home was quite spacious and has many updates but keeps its warm charm. The deck and dock appear to be newly constructed, new flooring throughout the home, renovated bathrooms, game room including a great pool table and a hockey table. The home was extremely clean. The kitchen had all the necessities and it was well stocked with supplies like paper products and even provided linens and bath towels. My grandkids loved the game room and especially enjoyed fishing off the dock and using the kayaks, row boat and paddle board. But my favorite thing about this property was its serene setting, surrounded by trees. It was just so peaceful and the views of Owassa Lake were absolutely beautiful! We’d love to visit again!
I enjoyed an amazing week on the lake with my family during Thanksgiving week. Huge amounts of space for family and guests in any weather. Big comfortable beds with lots of amenities. Quiet and beautiful surroundings. Looking forward to booking my next stay.
