The apartment had fabulous views. Check in was easy. The apartment was thick with dust along the skirting boards, inside the wardrobe, the patio door had dead flies and dirt in both corners and a cobweb in the top right hand side of the door frame. A dirty ear plug was left on the patio. The bedding was badly creased both the sheet, pillow cases and duvet. The smell of the apartment was fusty. The work surfaces in the kitchen had been rubbed. The bath had 1 hair in it but apart from that the surfaces had been rubbed with whatever they use. No smell of sanitizer or disinfectant could be smelt anywhere. . There were balls of dust gathered in the corners of the entrance near the coat stand. On a conversation with Heather who was renting the next door apartment from someone else the difference in the preparation for guests were poles apart. She also gave me the WiFi password for next doors apartment so I could connect with an excellent connection as the Apartment 3 WiFi is virtually non existent and could not be picked up. The owners message told me the apartment could be checked into whenever we arrived. That added to the disgust to our findings. On contact with the owners with photos via email I was told to vacate the property ASAP and a refund would be given. I did expect the owners to find a resolution to our concerns certainly not to vacate the property ASAP. The inconvenience of finding alternative accommodation in Cornwall and both of us being 60+ years of age we found distressing to say the very least. After giving my bank account details and an email stating the monies would be deposited into my bank account on Monday 27/09/21 I am still waiting. I have contacted VRBO via email with copies of the corresponding emails to the owners. The owners do not seem to be responding as I have heard nothing. In these COVID times never would I expect to go to any property to find someone else’s dirt left behind. I have never been anywhere and come across anything like I saw and smelt in that apartment. There was no clean fresh smell or any indication the apartment had been sanitised. To be fair the view is excellent. The communal areas were spotless. The worktops in the kitchen and cupboard doors had been rubbed over and the bathroom also, with what I’m unsure. All the fresh food for self catering we took had to be disposed of as the only accommodation we could find was a holiday inn express. Awaiting my refund in full.

Stunning! A must!
Me and my partner booked this appartment in 2019 with the intention to stay in August 2020 to celebrate my birthday but due to covid we did not attend until August 2021. Throughout this time period, communication with the owner was fantastic with quick responses all the time. The appartment itself is stunning and modern. Even though the pictures of the apartment are nice, they do not justify how nice it actually is in reality! It’s beautiful. Great ultra HD TV with Sky, nice comfortable double bed, plenty of storage space, iron, ironing board, hoover etc, great kitchen which is fully kitted out with everything you’ll need (just don’t forget your food shopping lol) and a stunning bathroom which has lovely dim lighting next to the bath and over the shower giving an intimate and relaxing environment, especially whist chilling in the bath! Best of all.....the balcony, what can I say, it’s beautiful with stunning views!! I think I spent every night sat outside overlooking the beautiful Tolcarne beach which also provides the best sunsets you will ever see! Breathtaking! It’s also brilliant having an underground parking space to use at your leisure as Newquay can be a nightmare to find a parking space so having this is a huge bonus as it allows you to venture out and also visit other parts of Cornwall like we did without having to worry about trying to find a parking space on your return. Everything is also on your doorstep and within walking distance! Shops, bars, restaurants you name it! It’s great! The only slight negative some may find an inconvenience is the fact that the WiFi signal is not great and a bit hit and miss at times (This didn’t overly bother us though as the sea views and stunning apartment was enough to distract us from needing it). We have stayed in Newquay many times over the last 6 years and I can honestly say it’s been the best place we have ever stayed at! Will, thank you so much for giving me and my partner (Moe & Kendon) a great place to stay! Beautiful! We hope to see you again in 2022! :-)

Stunning home from home
We are regular travellers abroad and the uncertainty of this year convinced us to holiday in the UK and pay a little back into our own economy. That being said thanks to some glorious weather and the stunning views from the apartment, we were not left disappointed. The apartment itself was equipped with everything we needed to cater for ourselves and have a comfortable stay. The location, right above the beach, was perfect. Although we ventured to other beaches, Tolcarne beach was our preference as it was so close and less crowded than others. Communication with the owners was excellent throughout. Due to the covid situation, unfortunately it was difficult to get in at many restaurants, thankfully I had pre booked a couple, the pubs were restricting access and closing early too. However the glorious days on the beach made up for it. A fabulous staycation, I may even be tempted back.
