The house is located on a quiet residential area, with a private driveway for parking. With no steps up to the property, it's very easy to unload the car after a long drive and is accessible for guests with limited mobility.
The Neighborhood:
The house is located in the quiet and desirable Pentire Headland. In just 5-minutes, you can walk to Fistral Beach - known for its pumping surf and brilliant selection of restaurants. Try Rick Stein's fish and chips, or enjoy pizza and a pint at The Stable. In 5-10 minutes, you can walk to the Gannel Estuary perfect for paddleboarding and nearby is the beautiful Crantock Beach, which has a wilder and more remote feel then other local beaches. You can also walk to the local golf course, as well as the Headland Hotel and Spa.
Newquay has a vast array of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. One of our favourites has to be Lewinnick Lodge, with its incredible ocean views and high quality food. In town, don't miss out on brunch at Box & Barber, or delicious coffees at Pavilion Bakery. You're also close to Sainsbury's supermarket (5-minute drive), which is perfect for stocking up for your trip.
Newquay has 15 beaches all within a short radius. It's located on the South West Coastal Path, so there are plenty of walks for you to enjoy. You'll find a handful of information booklets in the property, that can give you advice on what routes are best for you.

Disappointing
We booked this stay using vrbo. The booking confirmation was sent to us immediately and our trip confirmed. Half way through our journey I was contacted to say payment hadn’t been made and if I didn’t contact them immediately our booking would be cancelled. I did immediately and was told there was a problem processing the card payment. After several phone calls back and forth to the bank who assured us there was no problem with the card we arrived at the house. At this point we had to use another card to complete the purchase or the house would still be cancelled. An extremely stressful start to our holiday.
The house from
The outside was disappointing. The garden front and back was over grown with weeds. On entering the house a very strong smell of curry couldn’t be smelt which for us was quite unpleasant and this odour was all through the downstairs. The upstairs bedroom smelt of sick and for the first two nights my children had to sleep on the sofa as we tried everything to get rid of the smell. The house needed a good clean. Skirting boards and doors were visibly dirty. We tried several times through the week to contact the numbers we had been given without any luck. We just recieved an email the day before departure telling us where to leave the keys. The house was very well equipt but tired. Most positive point was it’s proximity to fistral beach. This house is long and her due a make over and in my opinion was not worth what we paid for it due to the cleanliness and hiddeous smells we had to endure through the week.
