You booked a room at a motel that does not offer breakfast . We work very hard to make sure that the rooms are beautifully kept, and after our thorough renovation in the summer of 2023 we are positive that our rooms offer an exceptional deal for travelers. Most people are delighted with the spacious rooms and modern industrial aesthetic. We received so much enthusiastic feedback. Are you aware of what a two star rating will do to our overall ratings as a small, family owned and operated business?We kindly suggest that it is unfair for you to bring down our rating because breakfast is not offered when you chose a hotel that never promised it.It’s the equivalent of ordering a chicken dinner when you were really hoping for a steak dinner and then giving the restaurant a bad review because you really wanted steak after all.With Respect,Newport Motel

We think that's one of the nicest things about the property. There is plenty of space to spread out. The Deluxe rooms were completely renovated recently, so we are glad that you enjoyed the updates.As to the outside....true, Newport Motel will never be a modern glass structure. It is a "traditional motel" in the truest sense of the phrase. We do strive to keep it neat and tidy. All of the doors were freshly painted over the Summer. Next year, we plan to do more work on the Landscaping.Sorry to hear about the Internet being spotty. We have purchased the best Internet service available.We will have the plumber look into the water pressure right away. This is essential to having a good start to the day. Thank you for kindly leaving the review. You were correct, the office is not open 24x7 as we are a country motel. As it says on Expedia.com, the office is open from Noon to 8 PM daily except on Sundays. We find the majority of the travelers check-in well before 8:00 PM, and those coming after 8:00 PM, receive a lockbox and code to retrieve the key. Mornings are self-checkout. We have been working very hard to renovate each room of the motel, and we hope your stay was a pleasant one.
