The Space: Built in 1920 and belonging to the same family for almost 100 years, this newly renovated and decorated, spectacular 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom, South bay front home sits on the widest point of Newport Harbor with stunning harbor channel views down to Corona Del Mar and the Balboa Pavilion. When you walk into the first level of the home you are welcomed by the newly remodeled kitchen with fresh white cabinets, stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. There is an island with 4 bar stools perfect for a small lunch gathering in the kitchen or a larger dining table area next to the living room. The downstairs living room and dining area are a single space that is surrounded by floor to ceiling windows, so you can take in every view that Newport Harbor has to offer. Then walk out onto the large patio and enjoy the good life! This stunning front patio is fully equipped with comfortable lounging furniture and a stainless steel gas BBQ grill. It is the perfect spot to grill up some burgers and drink a cocktail while enjoying the sight of the boats cruising by. The first bedroom is located downstairs with a queen sized bed and a full bathroom with a walk in shower. There is also another half bathroom on the first level. On the second level of the home there are two bedrooms that could both be considered master bedrooms with king sized beds and master bathrooms inside of them. There are two other bedrooms perfect for another couple with a queen sized bed and another one great for children or additional guests containing a bunk bed with a twin sized mattress on top and a full on the bottom. These two bedrooms share access to another bathroom. At the top of the stairs to the left, there is another large living room with plenty of seating and a wall of floor to ceiling windows you can open to enjoy the views and breeze of the beautiful harbor. Located at the end of Marine Avenue, you are truly steps away from all of the best shops and restaurants that Balboa Island provides. Come and enjoy all Balboa Island has to offer in this stunning home which also includes use of a large dock and direct access to the Island Boardwalk for people watching or to launch the kayak and stand up paddle boards included with this bay front beauty. The view from upstairs living area is to die for and you cannot ask for a better location. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at 1400 S Bayfront was everything our family needed. There is a great room for kids and family along with a more plush separate living room when you need some quiet time. We rented bikes and SUP boards for the week, which were great on the bay side. Kitchen was stocked with all needed dishes and appliances. From the great location, well stocked kitchen for family dinners, 3 great parking spots, comfortable bedrooms, and the fabulous family rooms upstairs and was the perfect spot for our family holiday gathering. Although you are located on Bayfront and there are people walking by, the property's front patio is slightly elevated so it feels a bit more private than other properties nearby. Reviewer Comments: This is a fabulous home in a great location steps from the town. The bedrooms are all very usable, unlike some rentals. The upstairs family room is a great place to relax while enjoying the view with some privacy. Downstairs and the patio are definitely "on display" but everyone who walked by was friendly and polite. It is also worth noting that most people who walk down Marine Ave turn right so this house actually gets much less foot traffic than others on Bay Front. We also have extended family who rent homes on the island so it turns out to be a big family reunion..This rental was the nicest that we have stayed in. The location was perfect and the house was fantastic. The owner was there when we arrived and was very helpful in getting us settled. She also had great stories about the house.. The rental agency was also very professional and quick to respond to problems that we encountered.The house was very well equipped and a joy to stay in. Previous renters filled the garbage cans, and they weren't emptied for 5 days. We called the property management company, and they weren't helpful. Told us to store in garage. There are a lot of options and there are a lot not so good homes or people who are not great with communication. NBVP was so delightful!! They took the stress off the the process and made everything so clear. They even have a phone app that has every detail needed for check in. We will always book with NBVP!! Thank you sooo much!!!The house is beautiful and so big!! The kids loved playing on the bay. We even got to use the kayaks and stand up paddle boards. We chose 1400 S Bayfront for a family 70th bday complete with a sand castle erected on the beach in his honor. The home is very comfortable to include a large well stocked kitchen that accommodates prep, cooking and wine tasting by all. There are enough bedrooms and bathrooms to allow our group to stretch out and relax. The upstairs living room was the BEST view Balboa offers and you won't want to miss the sunset!To say the location of this home is desirable is an understatement. The grocery market was just a block away, we walked to coffee shops and we never drove our car out to dinner. This home is clean, organized and the bedding is lovely.
