This is a small, boutique like hotel....row home size, narrow and tall. Recent renovated, it is nice. At first we were surprised by the small size of our room, but adapted since we were barely there. The room was nice, herringbone wood floors, updated bathroom.... What I found annoying was the tv situation, they have an app you download to run your netflix etc through the tv...very relevant, great idea. Except it didn't work, we wasted a lot of time trying to get it to work only to find out it was discontinued years ago. Their cable is slow as molasses on a brisk nyc day. First, you have to happen upon the guide of channels 30-1 to be exact, then when u click the up or down button to look at the next screen, u have to wait about 10 seconds before it moves...there are no directions on operating the tv and im assuming there were no movie options. The other thing I think could be improved upon was the "dining" option. The tavern advertisement around the hotel makes it seem like there are dining options...but there is no dining at all, just a tiny market. Again, not a huge deal but it would maybe helpful to tell us what is immediately around and/or how we could get food delivered if we wanted to. They do have a bar, which is great and they do have an espresso machine to make strong good coffees...all positives in my book. My sister was here at the same time and stayed at the Hyatt...it was bigger but our customer service was way better. I would choose this hotel again.
