Will definitely return. Has the basics that you need for an overnight, very comfortable, great shower pressure and bathroom hygiene. Comfy bed. Nice staff, allowed me to check in early due to not feeling well. 10/10 stay
Staff was so nice and helpful, i ended up leaving my controller after check out. Staff was very patient and found it.i was able to pick it up from the front desk. I fed recommend for a short stay
It is two train stops away from Manhattan, 3 minute walk to the subway station. Nice area with several restaurants and bars. Felt pretty safe, and the price much lower than staying in Manhattan.
On the downside, the walls are thin and the person next door was blasting loud rap late into the night. The hot water in the shower was hit and miss.
I asked for a queen size and it was a FULL. No where to hang you clothes except for the 4 hooks. Shower was tiny. Anyone with a huge belly won’t fit in the shower
You get a bed and a bathroom, and a little space for your bags. No fridge, no tables or chairs, not even on the balcony. They said the bed was queen-sized, but I'm pretty sure it was a full-sized bed, and the guy at the front desk said that all the beds were the same size.
If, like us, you're planning to sleep in the hotel room and spend as much time as possible doing other things, it's good.
It was clean, but somebody was smoking marijuana and tobacco in another room on the same floor and there was a gap under the door that let their smoke into our room.
Positive:5 min walk to 39th Ave N train station. 10 min walk to Queens Plaza E,R station. 5-10 min walk to Queensboro plaza N,7 train station. Clean facility but no housekeeping visit during my 4 days stay.
Negative: No luggage storage. I have been reserving hotels via expedia for over 15 yrs or more and for the first time, I was stuck with my luggage from 11 AM (when I arrived at the hotel) until 3 PM (check in time). Front desk staff said that no luggage storage is mentioned in website (not mentioned in expedia's hotel specifications). Basic rooms are small- no cloth hanging closet, not chair/desk, no bed side lamp (you have to go to the door to switch of the light and then return to bed in the dark).
I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed in my experience with this hotel. The hotel is fairly new, maybe opened up about 2 or 3 months ago, and it looks like it was rushed to be open. There's still a lot of work that needs to be done. The bathroom sink leaks, and the bottom is open. The bathtub has stains in it that will not come off no matter how much you scrub. There is no dresser, couch, or closet. All they have is some hooks for you to hang your things up. Even though the room is spacious, it is an open space with a bed and a small table and TV. That's it. I have never stayed in a hotel that has no microwave or fridge. They also do not offer complimentary coffee or ice machine. No free breakfast, no vending machines to purchase water or anything. Whatever you need, you would have to leave the hotel and go to the corner store to purchase. Also, the hot water isn't hot at all. it's warm/cold. The only time it was hot was around 1am, I guess because not a lot of people were using the water at that time.
I checked in Sunday and extended another day, although I was not happy with this hotel I figured because of the location (its close to Manhattan only 2 stops away) I would try to make it work. The front desk worker wasn't helpful at all and was very insensitive. When I asked why the rate is sky rocketing and so expensive for a hotel that offers zero amenities, he simply said, "That's the price it's high demand"
