About this property
La Maison des sirenes 2,only 20mn away from Manhattan. Bohemian, comfortable
Due to the high demand on la maison des sirenes 1, I decided to offer another apartment. This is La Maison des Sirenes 2 ,same house but on the top floor (4th floor) of my brownstone. It is located in one of the most coveted block(tree lined)of Bedstuy. It features a master bedroom (luxury Vera Wang queen size mattress) , a guest room with a twin size daybed coming from another world, an antique bathroom, a complete Tuscan kitchen, dining room and living room. The apartment is very bright, light is coming from every sides and ceilings (skylight). The apartment was decorated with taste and I meticulously picked every single piece of furniture myself. Some of the furniture’s come from abroad and have many stories to say on their own. Some other has been collected for years and stored in my apartment waiting for the perfect place to be. Keep in mind this is not a newly renovated apartment .it has a flea market mood. The wood floor is imperfect and scratched. All the signs of a well lived house. NYC OCCUPANCY TAXES ARE NOT INCLUDED AND ARE DUE UPON ARRIVAL IN CASH. They are required by NYC on less than 180 days rentals. They are 5.875% +$2/night . As of 03/01/2025 the state of NY requires lodging establishments to charge the state and sales taxes. It represents an additional 8.875% +$1.50/night, calculated from the total rental fee. VRBO collects and remits the state and sales taxes.

A diverse mix of students, hipsters, artists, crative professionals, architects and attorneys of all races continue to move to the neighbourhood. The area is serviced well by the A abd C train with commute times 15 mn to lowervManhattan and 30 mn to midtown.(times square). The apartment is whimsical and cozy and in a great neighborhood, quintessential Brooklyn. Very close to the subway, lovely restaurants and grocery stores, also good bagel shops. Nathalie is an excellent host, very prompt with responses and doing everything to make our stay comfortable.
My group of 5 friends had a great stay! The neighborhood is very quiet at night and the apartment is comfortable. Hot water comes quickly in the shower!
This is a great place to stay! The WiFi was a little slow and the tv had a lot of buffering moments but location was good and safe. I would definitely stay here again.
Cozy apartment on a beautiful street, close to shops, restaurants, bars, and public transportation. No issues with the space, would have loved to have stayed longer.
We enjoyed our stay. Safe, quiet neighborhood with access to good food and transportation. The space was very comfortable. Loved the skylights and the antique furniture!
Lovely little flat with everything we needed inside. Great location with good transport links and some nice little coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Only criticism is WiFi is a little slow but not a massive issue. Definitely recommend staying here.
Stayed with my 16 year old daughter. Cute place in a quiet neighborhood. Felt very safe and loved the cozy vibe. Easy train ride into the city. Nathalie was very responsive!
This apartment has a lovely shabby chic vibe. The architectural details were so cool - pocket doors, clawfoot tub - just the character I appreciate. The apartment was close to shops and the subway- I was able to get to Manhattan and the Brooklyn Museum easily. Would stay again!
A very charming appartment in a quiet street in a very beautiful quarter (Bedford Stuyvesant) with nice cafés, bars and restaurants and not many other tourists. The subway is close (10 minutes) and we would recommend it warmly!
What a sweet spot to enjoy easy access to Manhattan, a great Brooklyn neighborhood, and an electric, thoughtful, funky bohemian nest. We appreciated the extra touches like tea, spices and natural toiletries that went beyond the basics. It made it feel more like a home and comfortable farting to be there for the weekend.
We booked Nathalie’s 3rd floor apt in Bed-Stuy to stay for our daughter’s college graduation! The apt is in a brownstone in a quiet neighborhood near coffee shops and restaurants. Check-in, access, and availability of Nathalie were fantastic! We felt right at home. The apt is wonderfully and French-themed decorated with 2 skylights and plenty of space for the 3 of use. Free street parking was a great draw as well and a short 8–10 min walk to the C train to get into Manhattan. Would stay again and rec to others!
incredible generous and available host who was extremely communicative, professional, and welcoming. incredibly beautiful and exquisite space. i commented to my friend that it felt like a honeymoon suite. thank you so much nathalie!
Property was clean and convenient. I liked the diverse area of the neighborhood with local restaurants and stores nearby. I stayed two nights with my husband, son, and a few of his friends. We were there for a quick tour of the city, hitting all of our favorite spots and this place was great for sleeping. I loved all the natural light that entered in the morning.
Thank you for an excellent place to stay! My kids and I had a great time visiting NYC! The apartment was clean, comfortable, quiet, spacious and nicely furnished. It was a nice neighborhood with several great restaurants we discovered. Less than a ten minute walk to the subway, so it was easy to get to Manhattan. Instructions were clear and communication with the owner was great! I’ll definitely stay here again next time. Thanks!!!
Came to see New York and we had a great time.
We chose this property on affordability, closeness to subway and general character (not a soul-less white-painted box). Apartment and area were grand. We loved comparing the original brownstone features with our tenement flat in Glasgow. The area had everything we needed for groceries and eating out when we were tired of Manhattan - and the Subway was handy.
The furniture is quirky - we could have done with a second easy chair, or a sofa-bed instead of the extra divans, but the main bed was really comfy and the kitchen and bathroom are well equipped and functional. And the central heating came on when a cold snap set in so no complaints there!
Thanks, Nathalie
Everything has been perfect, even with the cold weather these past few days in NY, Nathalie kept the house very comfortable, and the neighborhood is wonderful and well-connected.
The place was great! Convenient location and beautiful neighborhood. Just be aware there are steep stairs and no elevator. Other than that, it was perfect
Great location, many local restaurants nearby. Quick access to the subway. Comfy beds, had all the amenities we needed for our 7 night stay. Communication with Nathalie was fast.
We were there for a long weekend. What a cute apartment in a pretty neighborhood. Recommend Roccos for pizza and pasta; Sofia's Bagels for bagels and coffee. Really appreciated the sbort walk to the subway into Manhattan for sight-seeing and more food!
