The apartment felt clean and modern. I loved the owner’s selection of books about art, decor and other topics. There was lots of fun stuff to browse. I also loved the live plants. Such a nice touch in a busy city. The property manager was responsive, and accommodating. The two beds were comfortable and there were thoughtful touches like earplugs and blackout curtains, which were both appreciated. I knew it was Brooklyn, and the neighborhood was about what I expected, but the apartment building felt secure. This apartment was exactly what we needed for our stay. It is relatively close to LaGuardia Airport and easy to find. It truly is in a neighborhood with a bodega and several small restaurants within walking distance (try Gordo's Cantina on St Nicholas). The apartment was adequately furnished and clean, the beds were comfortable. It appears that it has recently been painted and updated. The hallways and elevator were also very clean. The property manager was very responsive to any questions throughout the visit. The DeKalb subway entrance is 1/2 block away. The only oddity was when we received our VRBO confirmation, the address was a totally different property. The manager kept stressing to use the address she e-mailed. She explained that the property was just listed and they were working it out but there are reviews from November.All in all, we were pleased with our stay and would rent the apartment again and/or recommend it to friends. ##### Joan V. I booked this property with the green living room but at the last minute the owner had to change me to a different property. I don't know why and I was suspicious and concerned.
