It has exposed brick and a whole wall of windows facing the street. It is the perfect mix of historic touches and updated features. It's a great part of town. You can easily walk to The French Quarter or the Superdome. There is a grocery store and a CVS only steps from the rental. Lots of restaurants. This property has everything you need, two good sized bathrooms, two king beds (that were super comfortable!) a full kitchen and living room. The entrance required keypad entry which made us feel extra safe. We were walkable to Caesar’s superdome and to many restaurants in the area. Though it is a much longer walk, you can still make the trek to Bourbon and the riverwalk, but we grabbed Ubers to both for less than $10 even on an extremely busy weekend. The owners communicated everything we needed and checked in during our stay to make sure we didn’t need anything. Our only hesitation with booking this property was that parking wasn’t included but the owners gave us some suggestions and we were able to find lots/decks near us to keep our car in for the weekend! There was also a Rouses grocery store right across the road for our last minute snacks that we needed. Both the building and apartment were very clean. I love that the bedding and towels were all bright white ensuring cleanliness. There were light snacks and beverages waiting in the refrigerator when we arrived. Everything we needed was easy to find, including dishes, plenty of towels, soaps, a washer and dryer, etc. There was even a broom and dustpan. I'm a tidy person and appreciated all the small touches to make it feel like home. The hosts were wonderful. Our second flight was delayed multiple times so we arrived much later than expected. The host had fantastic communication from before the trip to after checkout. The place itself and the amenities will have you wishing you lived there long term. The entire design and layout of the place was well-thought out and helped all guests remain comfortable and relaxed. The beds, bathrooms, and kitchen were spotless and we really appreciated every little touch taken to make our stay the best yet. The area around felt safe enough and the building is definitely very safe.
