It's a bit of a hike (1.3 miles/ 2 km) down there but not an unpleasant walk. You can take a taxi for under $10\. The unit is very large and the beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. I would maybe avoid the 2 bed room - it has windows and the aluminum frame, single pane windows transmit sound very well, so even 5 floors up it can be loud. Overall though it worked very well for us and would work for a larger # of people with the 2 baths, etc. Short walk to French Quarter and lots of good restaurants in area.
