The room was super spacious, clean, cozy, had a fridge which was nice. Fantastic to be close to public transport. Sweet and tree filled neighborhood. The shower was an issue, strange design where you had to be inside the shower with the door closed to turn on the water and not get it all over the floor. Its floor could use a scrubbing. But overall a fine and decently priced place to stay that we really appreciated. What was most frustrating in my experience was the booking process, lots of confusion and multiple automated requests for sending in IDs in advance of our arrival, not acknowledging what had been sent and therefore the reservation was not considered complete. When live people stepped in, they were lovely and issues got addressed, but I feel discouraged from using this platform.

Great location. Spacious room. Only complaint is the shower and water situation. The shower and sink did not get hot unless both were turned on at the highest heat at the same time. When we did get water its was just over warm. My friend has an autoimmune disorder and got sick the first night and not being able to take a steaming shower didn't help. Even if the shower got hot, the way it’s positioned makes it impossible to turn it on/get in without getting you or the floor wet. Other than the bathroom the room was nice. I will say, it is different than the pictures, as they have a king size bed and other slightly different features.

The check in/check out process was terrible. We had to wait til day of to see if we could get an early check in; I called a few times about it and at first was told we should be able to but then was told it wasn't clean and they would get back to me. I was also only able to get in touch with an agency overseeing the property and not the actual property manager. I never heard back so we just went to the property to see if we could drop our bags but had to wait about 2 hours to get into the room. This was 12-12:30 and normal check in was 4:00. The room was not clean when we got in to drop our bags so we waited around for someone to come and clean the room but 4:00 came and went and no one came. I called to complain and then I finally heard from the actual property manager. She was very nice and did try to fix the situation; she said we could stay in a different clean room for the night and someone would come first thing in the morning to clean our room. But we never got a code for the other room so had to stay the night in the dirty room. Then housekeeping only came to clean the room the next day at 11-11:30 after we already wanted to shower and go to breakfast. After they actually cleaned they did a good job and the room was nice and in a good location. Then we were offered a late checkout at 1:00 at the end of our stay to compensate for the issues with check-in. But we went to brunch that day and came back around 12:00 but our code no longer worked and we had to call again.

Great neighborhood
Mixed use neighborhood provides coffee shop, interesting restaurants, and a grocery store. Streetcar immediately accessible. Local riders very helpful in navigating the system. Recommend upping the amenities by providing a second chair and using a fitted bottom sheet. Also recommend addressing slippery shower pan, a safety issue.
