The house is very clean and comfortable. We had plenty of room to dine and play cards on the large dinning table, bedrooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. We cooked breakfast every morning and had everything we needed to do so. The location is pretty fabulous. Away from the noise of the city, and yet close enough to get there easily. The neighborhood is cute. A grocery store is within walking distance as well as a dive bar and several restaurants. Great location. Enjoyed the neighborhood eateries. Quiet area within easy walk of Canal St. trolley. Master bedroom mattress was terrible, poor support, squeeky. HVAC unit was right outside the window and was very loud. Hallway bath shower faucet did not function properly. Rug in dining room was tattered and dirty. Open containers of food were left in refrigerator. I spoke to the host about this. She said it was common practice. We found it off-putting. Also there were opened bottles of OTC meds in the medicine cabinets. This seems dangerous. They number of towels in the bathrooms was not sufficient. The remodel of the home was well done.
