Staff was very nice — front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast.
The hotel is right on the property of SUNY Stony Brook, so it’s very convenient.
The SUNY Stony Brook website said there was a discount for prospective students who signed up for the tour….
However, there was no prompt for the code during the Expedia reservation process. And the front desk people at the hotel didn’t know what I was talking about.
The walk-up-and-order breakfast was nice, but very expensive. I would’ve preferred a cheap, or free, continental breakfast — with the walk-up-grill as an option if you wanted to pay through the nose for it.
This was the only option for breakfast — unless you drove into town to hunt and gather. But the appeal of the hotel was that it was right there on the campus. I was feeling a little swindled.
But, overall, an acceptable stay.
