The room with private bath was gorgeous. The hospitality was superb. Our host, Sandy, was charming and an outstanding storyteller. Breakfasts were a delightful and delish experience with Sandy serving in his kilt while Kathy baked croissants in the kitchen. Sandy and Cathy were convivial hosts and provided us with a lot of helpful advice on areas of local interest and our journey onwards to Cape Breton. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the bed/mattress was very comfortable. The Inn had been lovingly restored and was full of character. Once checked into our room we met them along with other guests on their beautiful deck & shared a complimentary glass of wine. Sandy shared many historic stories of the area, very interesting.The room & inn was very clean & the bed very comfortable. We were served an excellent continental breakfast the next morning, Sandy serving it in his kilt. Colorful Scottish host wore kilt to breakfast each morning. Breakfast served on beautiful china was always the same yogurt, granola, blueberries, and crescent dished out by host onto our plates. We either had to wait to eat or were hurried out because others were waiting to eat. Lots of steep stairs. Gorgeous back patio/yard and private parking behind. Rooms are small no tv, frig, or microwave. Shower extremely small. Comfortable bed.
