Clearly recently renovated, we had a very stylish two bed room that slept 5. Beautiful wooden decor / features. Super convenient parking right outside in a busy town where parking js at a premium. Great location, minutes walk to the lake and all amenities. After checking in remotely a waiter acknowledged our booking on arrival and after that no one spoke to us. It was a bit strange but absolutely fine. It was clearly a successful restaurant below which looked lovely but a bit beyond our family budget for dinner so didn’t try it. Would highly recommend a stay.

We stayed 3 nights in the Lavanda Apartment. It was clean, very well maintained and comfortable accommodation in charming Marezige up in the hills surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, for those wanting some distance from the crowds in nearby Koper and Piran. Our accommodation was also very close to Hrastovlje (20 min drive), the forests for our truffle hunting tour (5 min drive or 10 min walk) and walkable to the centre of Marezige (7 min uphill walk) where the wine and olive oil fountains are located, and where you can catch good sunset photos while having your wine.
Our hosts were kind and accommodating, and conduct olive oil appreciation tours onsite. You can also sample the olive oil and wines they grow.
You will need a car if you stay here, and you must like animals as the surrounding neighbours are small farms. There were no downsides for us during our stay other than the one day it rained on us.
We didn’t get to try the outdoor jacuzzi/hot tub which was inviting as we were out most of the days sightseeing.

The hotel is located in the village in the middle of local home owners where you have the gorgeous view of Alps and the fresh air and the sound of the sheeps in near by pasture an unforgetable experience. The staff were super super nice accomodating. Breakfast was perfect could order your eggs the way you like or choose from variety of their own omlets or egg benedict or choose from variety of their cheeses or breads fruits yogurt cold cuts jams list keeps going on and on… we will go back there for sure hopefully we can get a room there.

"Great hotel, although a little out of town. I cycled in and out daily which was nice. My only 3 complaints are that they need to update some of their gym equipment and they need a nice seating area outside where people can enjoy the sunshine in the summer. The waiting area outside was pretty poor. ..."
