The Neighborhood: Nerja with its narrow winding streets and beautiful sandy beaches is rightly regarded as the “Jewel of the Costa del Sol”. Unlike some other towns on the Costa del Sol, Nerja has preserved its charm and character, but still has all the modern amenities holiday makers are looking for including a great choice of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. Nerja boasts some of the best beaches on the Costa del Sol. Arguably the most popular is the long, sandy Burriana Beach which offers an array of water sports including sea kayaking, scuba diving and paddle boarding. BUS SERVICE: There is a well-established bus service which operates a route around Nerja as well as services to the Nerja Caves, Frigiliana, Punta Lara, Torrox, Almunecar, Malaga and Seville. TAXI: There are several taxi ranks in the town centre and all the taxis operate off of a meter for short journeys AIRPORT TRANSFERS: There is a bus from Malaga Airport to Nerja via the central bus station in Malaga.
