There is air conditioning throughout the apartment. The whole apartment has just been repainted and has good quality cutlery, crockery, linen, etc..There is a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and fridge freezer. The terrace has been relaid and there is modern terrace furniture including 2 sunloungers and a gas Barbeque. The apartment, is spacious and well equipped with magnificent views overlooking the sea and Burriana Beach from the master bedroom, living room and the south facing terrace. The Capistrano Playa complex is well-maintained & includes two swimming pools, a restaurant, bar, ornamental lake and tropical gardens. It is located within a short walk of Nerja centre, with the palm-lined promenade of the Balcon de Europa, many excellent restaurants and cafes. From the apartment, there are steps down to Burriana Beach below the apartment. There is a lift to the apartment which makes access from the street very easy (less than 20 steps up and down). Wifi is free. There are 2 sets of golf clubs in the garage should you wish to play golf, just ask our agent for the key. There are three golf clubs within 25 minutes. Baviera Golf is about 15 minutes west of Nerja, and is a very good layout. They often have deals for 2 people including a buggy. Further west is Anoreta Golf, also a good layout but slightly more difficult. Again, they do good value deals for 2 with a buggy, especially if booked online. On the beach at Motrils there is a less exciting golf course, it a bit flat and uninteresting. You will need to bring shoes, balls and tees etc but feel free to use the clubs. Nerja: Nerja is on the Mediterranean coast some 50 kilometres from Málaga on the N340 coastal highway, in a hire car it should take less than one hour from the airport on a modern motorway. Once a sleepy fishing village, the town now has a population of over 22,000\. Nerja boasts 16 kilometres of beaches with powdery sand and sparkling clear water. All major sports are available here, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing, tennis and there is a golf course (Burriana Golf) less than 15 minutes away. The town is flanked to the east by the beautiful, dramatic, mountain range, Sierra Almijara. The old quarter of the town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces overflowing with geraniums, on which a canary can sometimes be heard singing ## Property amenities ### Beach - We parked easily on the street near the lift every time. Host is very responsive to questions and helpful driving instructions etc were provided. We did venture up to the pool one day but it was closed (you could access it and some people were using it but sunbeds had been packed away). We loved the local area and the old town too, yes it is hilly with lots of steps but I can always use the exercise! I would recommend this is a place to stay. ##### EMMA A. The view from the balcony of both the sea and tranquil pool was stunning. The gardens are beautiful and fragrant. The villa had everything you would need for your stay and was all on one level. The balcony offers a great view of the sea and is a highlight of the accommodation. From the main bedroom you can hear the sea so it's very relaxing. It is close to bars and restaurants and is about half an hour walk to Nerja old town- although this does involve a steepish climb up from Burriana beach. There is only one supermarket within walking distance that we could find and it's pretty expensive. If we came again we'd probably hire a car as the apartment is located on a development with many steps and was a bit of a walk with cases from the bus station. That said, the apartment was so nice we stayed there a lot of the time, particularly as the weather was beautiful and the terrace is in full sun, making it the perfect location for sunbathing. We'd have no hesitation in recommending the apartment and would love to return some day. ##### Caroline P. Amazing development. Loved the design. The terrace is a stand out attraction. I could stare at that sea all day and never see the same shade of blue. The view changes as the day progresses. Great location for the beach, with bars and restaurants close by. Pool access included too, perfect for the evening swim before dinner. Access via motorway from Malaga in less than 1 hour was a dream. No issues parking. Great supermarket only up the lane. Nerja is just a lovely seaside town with a homely character. I felt settled and relaxed. I would return. the whole family agreed it was exactly what we needed. Good Tv when you want to relax and watch sky sports. Internet was fast. The gardens and whole estate are well maintained by a team who work tirelessly. Impressed. Only 2 things to point out… 1\. the steps are many and frequent on the way to the beach …but it suited us fine. We got down in minutes and back up in only slightly more time. There’s a lift to the parking area but I enjoyed walking the different paths and steps that crisscrossed the development. 2\. Sorry but the pics on Vrbo don’t quite do it justice. The view from the terrace was perfect, the beach and pool were great…once we had found our way there and back! Felt like we should have left a breadcrumb trail, so many little stairwells to choose from! The apartment was clean and well-equipped but you definitely need a certain level of fitness get the most out of Nerja! ##### Nicola T. The location is great, within walking distance to the beach, and is very clean. The only thing I struggled with was the steps. I ended up binning my pram halfway through the holiday because it was a struggle to get it up and down the steps, and my little one isn’t great at walking in the heat. When we called the property manager, she was rude and asked if we did not have ants in our country. Was told to go get some bug spray. The owner of the property did apologize. After going and buying bug spray and treating the apartment, we were able to enjoy it. We love it. Both the apartment and the complex are immaculately kept and cared for. The sea views from the terrace are what brought us back. The terrace itself is very spacious so you can spend days there lounging In the sun. We had great views of the fireworks the night of the San Juan festival.The facilities in the apartment are second to none and the recent upgrades really do make this feel like a home from home, we particularly appreciated the addition of the air fryer! I would definitely recommend this property, either for a base to explore or for a beach holiday. This apartment really is a home from home, it is fantastically equipped and the view from the terrace is so wonderful. The apartment is perfectly located for easy access to the beach or a leisurely stroll in the town. If you like to relax and do your own thing still feeling as comfortable as if you are in your own home we would recommend this property, we even had a day we didn’t even go out but relaxed on the terrace!! What we liked very much: the apartment being situated in the centre of this outstanding residential complex; the beautiful view and the surroundings with lovely garden; the large terrace; the TV with so many channels; the first class wifi; the modern, well equipped kitchen; the nice little round table in front of the main window to have breakfast in the morning sun; the good bathroom with plenty of hot water and enough storage space; the good bed in the main sleeping room. We recommend this apartment to everybody who likes beauty and can manage the stairs down to the beach. Thank you John for your kindness and good cooperation.
