Executive Log Home on Beautiful Lower Post Lake All Seasons

"My family rented this cabin for a week in Aug 2026 and there was more than enough space for the 15 of us to spread out and never feel cramped. Located on a quiet stretch of Lower Post Lake, it felt at times like we were the only people on the whole lake. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a vacation of this type. Six bedrooms - two of which had bunks and a bed for the adults. The kitchen comes with all the cooking utensils you would find at your home, and there was an additional fridge in the basement, so keeping perishables cool was never a concern. There is also a nice collection of kayaks, canoes, a firepit and hot tub. We brought our own wood, but there was wood there too. There is also plenty of parking and a cul-de-sac for parking the boat trailer. We used the boat launch on Upper Post Lake which is located just on the other side of the channel from the property about a 10 min boat ride away through a no-wake zone. If you are looking for a quint essential Wisconsin vacation with post card views from the deck, look no further. We would 10/10 recommend this place and we are very thankful for gracious hosts like these who make memory making on vacations like this possible."

"Very nice and accommodating staff. Clean property/rooms. Good breakfast. Multiple doors to access rooms that are further from main entrance of hotel. One of the side doors were not secured properly which allowed anyone to walk in without a keycard. I did not feel comfortable about that."

"Our family (parents,three siblings and spouses) rented Northern House for the week. We were welcomed with a very generous snack/treat basket, coffee pods, soaps, kitchen gadgets, stacked firewood, paddle-boards, kayaks and a fishing boat. There were even extra filled propane tanks for grill and flat top! The home was also well stocked with games, puzzles, books and movies. Beds were very comfortable with plenty of extra bedding if needed. Literally came with everything and anything you could possibly need. The house was very neat and clean with check in and out easy and simple. Hosts responded immediately to questions and were so accommodating. Would highly recommend this property for a memorable stay. The eagles, loons, deer and fish were an added bonus! Thank you for a wonderful memory to add to the family album!"

"We had such a great stay. Just my teen daughter and I looking for a lazy week away before the hustle of the school year begins. It was super clean, quiet, great amenities. Owners were very helpful with the couple things we needed. They were literally there in minutes to help. We loved every minute of our vacation and it was very affordable too."

"This charming A-frame house is on a spectacular site. The lakefront property is situated high above the lake so you feel like you are in a delightful treehouse when you are enjoying the exceptional decks. There is a system of the safe and well-maintained stairs going down to the lake. With a nice modern pier complete with bench on which you can enjoy the views and the wildlife. The neighbors were very quiet. Night times were absolutely silent. We were happy to see there’s a quiet time on the lake from 10 PM to 7 AM. And quiet time was well respected. We had six adults. It was very comfortable for us with very nice hangout spaces, a great kitchen, really nice eating space, and of course the lovely decks. One thing to note is two of the bedrooms did not actually have doors. They were suitable for good sleeping and sufficient privacy given that we were a like-minded group and went to bed all at the same time. But if you had a mixed bag of people who want to stay up late and people who want to go to bed not so late then the late people would need to be in those bedrooms without doors. The house is fully equipped with a great kitchen and apartment size laundry which worked very well. This venue was very clean and very charming. It definitely had the Northwoods feel which we appreciated. The host is responsive and communicative, but not intrusive."

"We loved staying here the cabin is absolutely amazing also the lake and property and I hope nothing changes just such a historic place. Everything was as listed we didn't need anything. Was easy to get a hold of Kurt and Ellen for questions. Also extremely dog friendly being secluded. Would highly recommend and can't wait to stay again. Thanks for sharing your amazing place."
