This was simply an overnight stay, but there were several issues that made it less convenient than expected.
The hardest part was finding the hotel entrance. Google Maps showed that I was right in front of the hotel, but all the signage seemed to indicate that the property was a wedding venue. I was very confused. I eventually rang the doorbell, but no one answered, so I called the hotel. Someone answered and said, “Just a moment.” After a couple more minutes, the door buzzed and I was allowed inside.
Once inside, the staff was very nice and accommodating. They allowed me to check in early, which I appreciated. I was told the room was not completely ready and that someone would return with fresh towels. About 30 minutes later, while I was getting out of the shower, a staff member came to finish making the bed and refresh the towels. I appreciated that they followed through, although there were already towels in the bathroom that I was using.
I also noticed a small leak under the bathroom sink that I could not stop. The Jacuzzi-style bathtub looked like it hadn’t been updated in decades, with visible cracks in the plastic, so I was uncomfortable turning on the Jacuzzi.
The next morning, there was no one at the front desk to assist me. Overall, the staff was friendly, but the difficult entrance, bathroom issues, and lack of front-desk assistance made the stay less comfortable than expected.
