However, we paid $20 for a cot for our baby for one night, and when we went to put her down, we discovered there was no mattress. Reception was closed by then, so unfortunately, my baby and I had a very uncomfortable night as there was nowhere safe for us to co-sleep. When we mentioned this at check-out the next morning, we were told it may have been overlooked by backpacker staff who didn’t realize there was another part to the cot. This might have been my favorite accommodation I’ve ever stayed at. The staff member Poliane was also incredibly helpful and kind. She gave us some great tips on what to do on the island to make our experience even more enjoyable.
