Very interesting rural village near beautiful beach

Both the Hotel and our host Carmen,were all we hoped for,The hotels location is majestic and the building is traditional and very tastefully decorated,we both felt most welcome and happy to be there.Now looking forward to return in September. This is by far the worst experience I’ve had at a Windham hotel. The service and overall condition of the room, with the exception of the great reception provided by the person at check in, were really lousy, Since since I got in very late, almost at midnight, I didn’t even bother to ask for a room change, since I was checking out also early. When I got into the room, I felt a strong sewer like smell. After checking, I realized the toilet was the issue, since it was broken. The toilet itself, was not cemented to the ground, and therefore it moved and provided this smell the Room had. The other issue was that the drainw from the sink was also a little bit clogged, since the water ran down very slowly, as well. The The other aspect that was not very pleasant, is that this is the smallest room I have found in a Windham chain hotel. it was really small for any standard. So once again, I was going to give this experience, a score of one over five, but decided to raise it a little bit, because of the good service provided by the person check in.
