Its located only a block off of Bay Street, and is in easy walking distance of LOTS of local souvenir shopping and sights (as well as a couple of bodega-type stores. Yes, the building is old (its historic, after all) and the decor is somewhat dated. Even so, it's a very unique space full of lots of character and is loaded with lots of original (local?) artwork throughout public spaces and the rooms. Plenty shopping stores but expensive as it in the location for tourists off the cruise ships. Needs getting proper information to use the bus routes but taxis are plentyful but can be expensive. Hotel need a little updating but it is clean and secure. Food/Drinks at the bar/ restaurant were delicious and affordable. I was in the junior suite which included a microwave and refrigerator. Loved that. Property was close to almost everything, it's right in the middle of downtown and is walking distance to all spots a tourist would want to go see in Nassau. We saw Junkanoo festival, went back to room once we were done watching with no hassle. One thing to note is it will get very loud on the holidays because you are in downtown. Loud music and city life woke us up between 5am-6am.
