The beach is 30 seconds walk, the view is breathtaking. We relaxed, played games, read, talked around the open fire, swam, walked and just chilled. No tv, no screens (although there is Wi-Fi), we detached from the phones and iPads and let our brains breathe. Will be booking again for next year or maybe even during winter. Each room has a digital panel outside the room for guests to indicate a make-up request, DND and even has a doorbell. The bathroom was beautiful, and the beds were very comfortable. The restaurant was very nice and the food was tasty, albeit slightly on the expensive side. The pub downstairs is cozy and gives off an old pub feeling, but it's clearly very new. The included breakfast was great and the staff were all very pleasant. All-in-all, The Tara exceeded our expectations in nearly every way, and we would highly recommend a stay here if you're staying outside of Donegal."
