Almost as far from town as possible on the island.  Located at the end of a sand/dirt road, Next to a quite beach.  Lovely Ocean Front home with 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths.  Ocean views from most rooms Smart TV's and streaming. All the basics and quality linens.   Our home is very private. * You need to make Ferry reservations****We suggest you buy all your food and beverage, before heading out, because once you arrive, you will never want to leave.

Ocean Escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights and are sad to leave. The property is iconically Nantucket. Its location - and the views- is spectacular. It is well equipped for a relaxing family or couples vacation. Hope we can make it back.

Beautiful location

The home was lovely and the views fantastic, especially sunsets. Lots of seal sitings! What people should know: the road is dirt, rutted, bumpy and fits one car at a time. So a 4-wheel-drive is nice or something that sits high off the road. The beach and views were wonderful, but the beach is not good for kids. Would pick another beach to sit and play for the day.

Love Sand Nantucket

Love Sand is a relaxing & beautifully designed retreat. The views are breathtaking while the sounds of the sea surround the home. You can embrace the mist on the windows as it reminds you of your closeness to the sea. So enjoyable!

Gorgeous location and beautifully updated house

This property was everything we were looking for. It’s very far from town but that’s what we wanted. The house itself is beautiful and updated with a really nice, well-equipped kitchen. There’s even A/C which was nice. The manager was so cooperative and helpful. Our stay couldnt have been better.

Beautiful home with an enviable ocean view

The home is beautiful, comfortable and spacious. There are porches on all sides so you can always find a sunny or shady spot - whichever is your preference. The upper deck provides beautiful views of the ocean. We spent a lot of time there. I highly recommend this lovely location.

Wonderful House, Setting & Location

Our entire family loved everything about Love Sand. Location was great! House was perfectly set up and furnished! Karen was wonderful to deal with! Exactly what we were looking for - a house in a location that affords easy access to town, bike path and beach. One can choose how to spend their vacation - we personally enjoy the solitude of the beach!

Wonderful Retreat

Love Sand, Madaket on the Beach was an absolutely wonderful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy all the beauty of Nantucket. Although it's a little out of the way, it was just what we were looking for as a base to explore deserted beaches, view the daffodils before the crowds arrived for the annual festival, and visit the uncrowded shops in town. The house is beautiful- just as it was pictured on the website, and it's true that we didn't want to leave it most of the time! We hope to be back some day.

Sunset Solace

Love Sand is a Madaket treat! The off road excursion to get to Love Sand holds some adventure leading to a very peaceful setting by the water. The house worked perfectly for our party of 6 women celebrating a special birthday. Thank you for making our celebration so special. A great place to stay and fabulous setting!

Beautiful and well kept home!

My wife and I really enjoyed everything about Love Sand. It's quietly nestled on the south west shore of the island in Madaket. We honeymooned in Nantucket and will go back to Madaket every year - the sunsets are fantastic (especially from the master suites porch!). Karen is the property manager and she couldn't have been more pleasant or easy to deal with. We will absolutely try to get back to Love Sand next year!

April vacation

This home will not disappoint! It's an adventure just getting to it and such a delight upon arrival! The view of the ocean is spectacular, especially at sunset. We expected to eat out often, but the kitchen was so well equipped that we cooked and ate at home most of the time. I had a couple of questions and Karen answered quickly. She had great information to make our visit more enjoyable. We would love to come back for another visit!

Fantastic vacation spot!

Perfect location, beautiful beach, wonderfully inviting house...all make for an amazing vacation. The house was exactly as advertised. There was space to spread out with a fabulous living area, the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed, and the master suite was the icing on the cake. The two big tables made it easy to have an eating space and a game/puzzle space. The deck was wonderful to sit on in the Adirondack chairs in the morning with a cup of coffee and just stare out into the ocean, and a couple of nights we made our way down to the beach with the sand chairs to watch the brilliant show put on in the night sky. Will definitely return to Love Sand!

Perfect house in secluded location

First walk on the beach right down the driveway revealed a seal just hanging out. Then every day there were more. This was the first time we ever experienced this sight. It was amazing! The house was comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you may need. Short ride to anywhere on the island you may want to explore. Karen was great to deal with. She was very accommodating and responsive to our questions. Overall, a great vacation.

Incredible Beach Front Madaket Gem!

I just returned from a week at Love Sand with my family and absolutely LOVED IT! It is a magical home in an amazing beach front location - views of the ocean from 3 of the 4 sides of the house. Great for kids, Incredible privacy. Well appointed and beautifully decorated, with fresh linens and beach towels for your use. Very accurately portrayed. Very clean upon arrival. I highly recommend it. Karen, the manager, was a joy to deal with. A 10 minute beach walk in the morning to Millie's for coffee and muffins. Incredible sunsets from your decks. I can't wait to return next year. Of Note - The beach has had some erosion in the past few years so it has a few steps down a small set of stairs to access the beach - which may be an issue to older renters.

By far the best...

My husband and I have been renting on Nantucket for years and this home was by far the best home yet... From the personalized attention from the property Manager to the simple details like fresh cut tulips placed on the kitchen table to welcome us. The living room was beautifully decorated with a library for even the pickiest of readers. The kitchen was fully stocked and a pleasure to both cook and dine in. The beds were super comfortable with hotel style linens - and the view from not only the master bedroom but all of the rooms rival any 5 star hotel. The bathrooms have huge bath sheets, great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The driveway ends at the Ocean and the Madaket sunsets.. well, you just have to see them to understand. Perhaps the best part of this home is the fact that our dog Mookie was welcomed with open arms (and a drawer full of tennis balls) He spent 8 days stretched out on the front porch watching the waves. We are never happy having to leave Nantucket but after spending our vacation here at Love Sand- leaving this time was just torture. We hope to be welcomed back to Love Sand time and time again...because we are hooked. Thank you for a wonderful time. We almost don't want to give the secret of this gem away but it's just too beautiful not to receive a 5 star review -

Truly was a home away from home

My family and I stayed at Love Sands to celebrate my 50th birthday. The home was immaculate and had every amenity you could think of. Clean linens, towels, beach towels, the shed was stocked with boogie boards, beach chairs and beach pails. My husband and I spent an entire day just sitting on the deck looking out into the ocean and caught upon our reading....it was just so relaxing, private and quiet. My children are no longer children (19 and 22 years old) absolutely loved the island and the house and the location. I do recommend renting a jeep because of the location of the house it is helpful to get to and from the house, but not a complete necessity. The house sits back from the road and is surrounded by beautiful homes and friendly neighbors. We met 2 of the neighbors that own and are very friendly and answered any question we had about where to go, where to eat and where to explore. The quiet dirt roads were perfect for the runners in the family and for our dogs that just loved the long walks. We took advantage of the large and fully stocked kitchen to cook and also used the grill. If there is one thing I wished the house would have had, would be a fenced in area just so the dogs could be turned out while we sat outside. However, that is such a minor issue compared to all the house had to offer. Enjoy your stay and we are hoping to get back again next year.

A True Retreat for Rest and Relaxation

My husband and I stayed at Love Sand for a few weeks during the off season. It was one of the most memorable and relaxing vacations that we have ever taken. Karen has a beautifully decorated home that she has thoughtfully outfitted with everything that you could possibly need during your stay. We constantly found ourselves remarking how well-equipped the house is. The house has a light, airy feel but feels lived in and loved by the owners. The house is spacious and has a great floor plan with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. One of our favorite things to do each day was to bundle up and take a nice long walk from the house, down the driveway and right onto the beach. The location is simply AWESOME! Property is gorgeous and off the beaten path. It has a remote feel but is only a 20 minute drive to town. The Madaket area of the island is my favorite as it offers breathtaking sunsets that you can watch right from the house. As a host, Karen was very accommodating with answering any questions that we had. She was easy to reach and great to work with. While my husband and I love to visit Nantucket during the warmer months, it is absolutely worth a visit for the charm and relaxation that the island offers during the colder months. There are still plenty of restaurants open and things to do. If you are thinking about going, just do it. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic Property! Fantastic Service! Accurate Listing! Highly Recommend!

I am bit reluctant to write this review as I want to be able to re-rent in the future & I fear that once word gets out as to how awesome this property is we wont be able to re-book! From the moment you turn down the long, dirt road leading to Love Sand you know you picked the right place! It is very secluded, very private & away from the hustle & bustle - yet still only a quick 10-15 minute drive to the action of the town. If you are here to relax & decompress, this is the spot! The house sits far back from the road & the beach is right there. In the back of the house, there is a level, fenced in yard w/ a shed. It contains all the beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, beach boards & a load of chopped wood for the fireplaces. The back porch has an outdoor shower & gas grill. Plenty of room to sit on the steps or porch. The house was super clean, airy, bright, up to date & beautifully decorated. It is fully equipped w/ absolutely everything you would need! Beach towels, linens, towels - even a hair dryer! The kitchen is fully stocked, very easy to cook in & has a spacious table for family meals. Two sets of sliding French doors lead to the backyard porch & the front wrap-around porch. Great airflow! Downstairs family/living room is very comfortable & has an amazing wall of books! A marvelous collection mixed w/ classics & a shelf w/ books about the island. There were also a few board games. Two couches & a chair w/ ottoman surround the fireplace & TV. There is another large dining table that is perfect for playing cards, games & computer work. Every window in this house has an amazing view. The 1st floor also boasts two small bedrooms w/ comfortable queen beds. The bedroom that faces the front has sliders to the front porch w/ beautiful ocean views. So very relaxing & so very comfortable! There's also a full bath w/ shower/tub combo & a closet w/ full size washer & dryer. The upstairs master suite is fabulous! Spacious walk-in closet w/ shelves, cozy king bed, a sitting area w/ fireplace, TV & sliders to a balcony that overlooks the front yard & ocean. Stunning! There is another bedroom w/ twin beds & a closet w/ a TV for dvd's & games. The upstairs bath has a great walk-in shower, two sinks & lots of room! With the master sliders and bathroom window open, there is great airflow. You will love this property, its views & the beach. Property Mgr. Karen was awesome from booking to leaving. Thanks for a memorable experience. LOVED IT!

The house was so clean and spacious. Such attention to detail! The kitchen was very fully equipped with anything we needed (and more!). Walked the beach every day, saw lots of seals. Best sunsets and sunrises!

Amazing Love Sand

We spent a week at Love Sand mid september and we had the most amazing vacation. The house is spectacular and we fell asleep to the waves crashing each night. My favorite spot was the balcony off the master where I would have my coffee each morning. The house is cozy and is outfitted with everything you need to have a great vacation.

Beautiful Location

This house was in a beautiful location, with a gorgeous view of the ocean and sunsets. It's a very sturdy house, as our first night there was extremely windy and stormy, but from inside you could barely tell. The house was cleaned and well stocked with plenty of kitchen items, paper products, and entertainment. The only thing that was a little tricky, was we did not have a car and getting Uber and Taxis were sometimes tricky, as some drivers did not want to go on the dirt roads. Besides that, everything was lovely!
