We have rented the house before and it's always been great, awesome location, clean, outdoor space, etc. However, this year we went out downtown and came home to our house being robbed of virtually anything valuable we had (laptops, cell phones & accessories, kindles, ipods, ipads, computers, jewelry, expensive bags, glasses/sunglasses, etc). We believe the theives to be local residents that target large groups of tourists staying on the island and we believe that they were watching out house. We have not been able to recover our stolen items, I would highly recommend anyone staying in this home to make sure they lock up any valuables and keep all of the doors locked at all times, and any spare keys hidden. Having rented on Nantucket in the past, this house really met all our needs from location (steps to town) to the bedrooms, it was absolutely perfect for our group and would highly recommend to others. Each of the bedrooms had a bathroom and shower in it, so waiting for a shower was never an issue. The kitchen was amazing, fully upgraded with high end appliances, surround sound speakers for music and had a great back yard off the kitchen for outdoor enjoyment. Highly recommend this property. The location was absolutely perfect. A very short walk to town and directly across from the beautiful Congregational Church. In fact, the Saturday of our stay we got to see one of the 40+ weddings that took place on the island right at the church which included bagpipe players and an amazing white Rolls Royce! The house absolutely met all of our needs and worked really well for our group. Everyone was happy with their rooms and we had a great time congregating in the kitchen and the lovely back yard and sun porch. She was very well equipped and the location was just what we wanted! The pictures do not do it justice. The back courtyard is totally enclosed which was perfect for pets & children! There are so many nooks & crannies that it never felt crowded even though we had the bedrooms full! A big plus was the bathrooms with each bedroom.
