Apart from a whale watching trip (also recommended) we barely left the house, which has all mod cons. We saw a family of sea otters swim by one evening, then met a deer and her fawn. And also a bald eagle. There was good rock pooling at low tide, and we had many swims off the rocks, followed by the hot tub. The location has the most beautiful views, right on the water and it just allows you to relax. I can’t imagine a more perfect way to experience the Vancouver Island coast... this house has amazing ocean views on 3 sides! We saw wildlife regularly, from otters and seals to deer around the property, even from the perfectly-situated hot tub. It’s easy to explore tide pools at the shore, or walk the trails alomg the coast, too.The house is stocked very well, and has a modern feel with plenty of room... We’ve rented dozens of houses around N America, and this was likely our favorite ever! ##### Luke P.
