Find hotels in Nakseo-myeon from £26

The best area to stay in Nakseo-Myeon is the area around the German Village and Darangyi Village, as these are the main attractions and offer the best amenities.

The German Village, located in Samdong-myeon, is a unique residential area built by Koreans who returned home after living in Germany. It features distinct German-style houses, many of which operate as guesthouses or cafes. You'll find a pleasant, pedestrian-friendly environment with views of the sea, and it's home to the German Culture Experience Centre.

Couples looking for a relaxing and picturesque getaway will find the German Village particularly appealing. Many guesthouses offer rooms with balconies overlooking the ocean, and the area provides a quiet setting for strolls and enjoying local cafes. It's also a good base for exploring the nearby House N Garden, a beautifully landscaped botanical garden.

Further south, Darangyi Village is famous for its terraced rice paddies that cascade down to the sea. While less concentrated with accommodation than the German Village, there are guesthouses scattered throughout the area offering a more rustic experience. It's an ideal spot for those who appreciate natural beauty and a slower pace.

For those seeking a tranquil escape and a connection to traditional Korean farming landscapes, Darangyi Village is an excellent choice.

The best time to go to Nakseo-Myeon is during the spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) months.

These periods offer the most pleasant weather for exploring, with comfortable temperatures and less humidity than the summer. Spring brings blooming flowers, particularly cherry blossoms, which can be seen throughout the region, making for beautiful scenery. Autumn provides clear skies and colourful foliage, especially in the surrounding hills and mountains.

For those looking to enjoy outdoor activities like hiking or coastal walks, these seasons are ideal. The mild conditions make it easy to spend extended periods outside without the discomfort of extreme heat or cold.
