Built in 1935 this quaint cottage has survived more than eighty years along the coast of the Outer Banks. Families came to the Outer Banks in the 1900s in the summer to escape the heat of the inland farms and to enjoy the sea and ocean air for a healthier living. Many of these historical homes still have family ties to the original owners. Families spent the day at the beach and relaxed on their covered decks in the evening sharing stories with family, friends, and neighbors. These homes added modern conveniences as the years went by but the laid-back lifestyle is still possible to enjoy. Island Dancer is your answer to the perfect place to unwind and rejuvenate from the fast-paced life we live in. Bring your favorite books and games and hang out on the covered decks. The OBX has so much to see and do, so plan some days to try more of our local restaurants, unique shops, historical sites, and outdoor adventures. Beach Access: A private walkway behind the home leads you to the beautiful beaches and ocean where you can spend the day basking in the sun, swimming, surfing, and maybe find some sea glass to take home. No Smoking/Vaping. Pet Friendly-Dogs Only. (2-Small Dogs or 1 Large Dog) Dogs allowed for an additional fee. Milepost:11.10 All reservations are offered to purchase travel insurance for an additional 7.75% of your rent and taxes. Please refer to the rental agreement you will be signing to accept or decline this coverage as your refund in the time of cancellation will be dependent on your acceptance in most situations. All guests must sign and return a rental agreement before reservations are confirmed. Payment for travel insurance, if accepted, will be processed upon receipt of this signed agreement. Decor is super cute beachy. Perfect for couples or small family. Plenty of deck space that wraps around the cottage.
