Great place close to the action

Posted 20-Aug-2015
This was a great place to stay! It's centrally located to many different day and night time activities. The employees were courteous and helpful. The room and hotel were kept clean at all times. The complimentary breakfast each morning had a variety of choices. The hotel had fresh cookies each day after 4:00!! Access to the hotel was easy but was also limited to guests only, meaning you had to use a key card for entry, making it safe. I would stay here again!!

NOT NEAR THE BEACH!!!!

Posted 12-Aug-2015
Despite its title, it's no where near the beach! It's in its own little resort-type area with a scattered amusement park, restaurants and lots of shopping. That sounds great, except when you were actually trying to book a hotel ON THE BEACH! The hotel itself is nice. The room was clean. The staff was nice. The pools were small, but clean. There's a hot tub which is kind of gross, but good enough. If you don't want your room cleaned, they will stalk you, relentlessly about it, as its kind of their thing! If you're planning on staying here with kids, plan on spending a small fortune, as its all kind of in their little faces. So, either you shell out the money for all the crap or listen to their incessant whining!

Nice Hotel Close to Broadway at the Beach

Posted 04-Aug-2015
Pros: The hotel was nice with enough parking, free breakfast, and USB ports to charge phones in your room. You can walk right out to Broadway at the Beach.
Cons: Maybe I missed it but a channel guide for the TV would have been nice
Location: Obviously Broadway at the beach is right out the back door. Myrtle beach state park is close and so is Barefoot Landing (10 minutes maybe).
We spent 2 nights and the hotel was great. Check in was a breeze. They offered us a map of Broadway immediately and the room was spacious with good amenities. USB ports to charge phones were a plus. Our room was accessible so it was pretty spacious but I can't speak for other rooms. King bed was comfortable and slept well. Vending machines were reasonably priced and some accepted credit cards. Indoor and outdoor pools but we didn't use either. Our room overlooked the parking lot but I'm sure a room overlooking Broadway would be nice. While we were there we visited Myrtle Beach State Park, Barefoot Landing (Alligator Adventures), and of course Broadway with Ripley's Aquarium. If you're a teacher be sure to take your credentials to Ripley's for a great discount.

It was a great location, right in the heart of Broadway. Far enough away from the bars that it wasn't loud while we slept.

Great Location / ok room

Posted 26-Jul-2015
The location of the hotel is excellent! We could walk right out of the hotel and your at Broadway on the beach. The hotel had a nice indoor pool, outdoor pool, and indoor spa although we didn't use them they look clean and nice. The complimentary breakfast was satisfying with many options to choose from and good coffee. Our room was on the same floor as the lobby which was convenient but quoting from another guest that I didn't know "the party floor". The room that I stayed in was adjacent to a room with what sounded like 4 young boys that continuously slammed the restroom door. Also we could hear there conversations as if we were in the room with them. Our shower had a loose bar in the shower that you would use to help yourself get into the shower. although we didn't use it, this demonstrated the maintenance and inspections that they put into the rooms not to mention the silly yellow sticky note attached to the bed saying that our sheets were clean which seamed odd for a Hamptons hotel. To sum it up I would stay at this hotel again for the convenience of being on Broadway but I would try and get a room that isn't on the first 3 floors.

Carnival outside my window

Posted 11-Jul-2015
Pros: The location, the décor and the inside and outside pools.
Cons: I'm sure my sister would like to have bacon served at the breakfast buffet every day.
Location: Restaurants, shops and rides were all a quick walk away.
If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. You are just feet away from all the Broadway area has to offer. That being said, the room was quite comfortable and very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the elevators seemed so slow. Maybe it was just our anticipation for getting outside to all the fun. I would definitely go back again. Broadway had much more to offer than the beach boardwalk.

July 4th Weekend Vacation

Posted 06-Jul-2015
I arrived for check in and the receptionist at the front desk was very helpful. When I got to my room it was nice and cool (was very warm outside), clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also very clean and plenty of towels. It also had complimentary bar soap, shampoo, conditioner and mouthwas. It took a few minutes to figure out how to get the wifi to work, but once it was set up, I was able to use it with no problems. The room was very quite and had no problems sleeping. The view from the room was nice as well. I was able to see the pool, palm trees, and an awesome view of the lake along with the surrounding rides and restaurants. The gym is a bit small, but okay for a quick workout. Free breakfast was delicious! I would definitely recommend this hotel.
