About this property
HGTV-Featured Beach House w/ Glow Arcade
ABOUT THIS SPACE
When HGTV set out to find the home that defined "Scrollstopping Spaces" for Battle on the Beach, they chose Oakley Beach House as the inspiration property for the whole Grand Strand. The 60-mile stretch of coastline from Little River to Georgetown. Season 5, Episode 6 sent a full crew through these doors, and the room that stopped them cold is still the one guests bring up first: the glow arcade. Your host went on camera to explain the idea behind it. A great space should stop a thumb mid-scroll before a guest ever books; and the arcade is the proof. Neon hexagon ceiling lights, red laser-line wall accents, four working arcade cabinets, and a mini bar built for spectating between rounds. It's the room that convinced a national TV crew this house was worth featuring.
Downstairs, the open-concept living, kitchen, and dining area is command central for a big group. Dining table and kitchen bar for family-style dinners under a glowing fireplace.
Upstairs, two more themed rooms extend the "Scrollstopping Spaces" story HGTV came here to tell:
- The Fairy Bedroom — a glowing fairy wall mural, floral chandelier, teal curtains, and faux ivy trailing the canopy.
- The Sandcastle Room — a castle-shaped bunk bed with its own wooden stairs, a sandcastle mural and a wall-mounted TV.
- Three more king bedrooms with beach-inspired art, ceiling fans, and room-darkening shades and an ensuite.
- 4.5 bathrooms, including an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand before anyone sets foot inside.
Out back, a patio has Adirondack chairs, string lights, and space for outdoor dining.
The garage doubles as beach-gear headquarters: boogie boards, wagons, and a cooler ready to grab on the way out and a hallway rack keeps rolled beach towels stocked.
Work-from-anywhere guests get a dedicated workspace and WiFi, movie nights run on the 75-inch HDTV, and a Pack 'n Play, high chair, family-first details.
