The host was super responsive and even had the microwave entirely replaced the day after we alerted her to the issues. Now for the good - this place is less than 100 steps from the beach and was a great value for the price. The kitchen was great for cooking a few meals to save money and while a little leaky the shower in the common backyard was perfect to hose off the sand.
