Coastal Inn Antigonish
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel staff were awesome and very welcoming. I had a chance to order breakfast online and it was delievered to my room without any fees. I was able to do a late check out through their oblinr options. "
"Loved the place. The room was clean. The gentleman who checked us in was very nice and helpful. There was a great restaurant at the premises and the staff was very nice; we got extra chowder and the beef curry and rice was super tasty. This is an excellent place if you are planning to visit the Hopewell Rocks National park which is just 3 h and 20 min away. We left the hotel at 7 am and arrived at the National park right on time to see low tide. Breakfast was free, but since we had to leave early in the morning, we requested a packaged cold breakfast. The staff was very accommodating and made us two breakfasts packs. Superb place and highly recommend it."

"Perfect place to spend time with our adult children. Brendan and staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything needed to ensure our time there was perfect. "
"Overall it was okay. Not bad, not extraordinary. It did the job. We had a place to stay, sleep, eat and shower. So why only 3 stars? Mostly the cleaning. We had to wash all the plates, the glasses and cutlery before using them because we found some with food on them. Same thing for the towels. We had to wash them before using them because we try to use them the first night and some were full of hair (we think dog hair based on the quantity - disgusting). To add, the washer was smelly, so we had to do 2 tub cleans before washing something. Nothing Todd, the owner, could have done at that exact moment to help us but still, upgrading the cleaning game would help a lot!Positive point, Todd was quick to resolve a problem with the shower and kitchen drains. Within 24 hours, it was resolved! To sum up, yes a good place to stay but not a 5 stars place!"
"Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I love being outside, so I sat on the deck and did everything outside as much as possible. The one problem I had with the place is that it is new, and the plastic is off-gassing. This was a reason why I chode to be outside so much. By Wednesday, I had a terrible hack and cough, and I’m still sick today. I suggest opening the place up during the winter months when you're not busy to get rid of the plastic smell. I have friends who I know couldn't have stayed there due to the off-gassing. I also found the place a bit cluttered. Although it looked nice, there are some things you could probably take away that people don’t need when you’re traveling. It’s nice to have shelving to put things on, and I found that was lacking."
