(337 reviews) I stayed at Maverick Apartments Budapest recently and had a decent overall experience. The room itself was okay — not amazing, but not bad either. The building is clearly quite old and historic, which gives it character, but it also explains why the rooms probably aren’t heavily renovated. Because of that, some things felt a bit worn. The washroom had a strong smell, and the toilet flush button was broken during my stay. I assume these issues come with maintaining an older property, though they were still noticeable. On the positive side, the location is excellent — you’re basically close to everything, which makes exploring the city very convenient. The staff were also friendly and welcoming, which definitely improved the stay. Overall, it’s a reasonable place if you mainly want a great location and don’t mind a few imperfections in the room. (302 reviews) This apartment was perfectly located. A few people have noted the street sound being an issue, but it wasn't a problem at all for my adult kids and me. We kept the doors open most nights, in fact, just to have some nice air flow. Kitchen was perfect, and there's a Lidl a few blocks over that we relied on to stock up. Team on site was very helpful. The check-in desk isn't always staffed - they're around, just not always in the little room. Found it easier to email them than to wait at check in to ask any questions. Peeking out of our windows (room 104), we could see the Basilica, and the river!
