"This home is exceptionally well maintained along with a stocked kitchen that also had nice cookware (which is not common). It is evident that the owners take pride in this home. The hostess, Kristen, was gracious and quick with replies. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and the beauty of the lake as well as the game room which kept us entertained for hours - a great variety. We also loved sight seeing at Grandfather mountain which was a nice ride on our motorcycles. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it."

"This is an absolutely beautiful home on a nice setting. The home was very clean and inviting as we entered. The pool was well maintained and we enjoyed time in it. There were many amenities in the home and tons of room. That said:- the fireplace did not work. The management company sent someone out right away to check on it. We were told the tank was out of propane. They never refilled it during our visit, so the beautiful fireplace went unused. - there were no towels for the pool - bring your own- there was not enough toilet paper or paper towels - bring your ownWe did not consider these to be major issues and we were prepared to give this home a 5-star review. However, the day before we were scheduled to leave we asked for a 1 (one) hour extension of the 10:00 AM checkout time. Here's the verbatim response we received: "I will approve a 11 am check out for a 5 star review?!" What!?We spent over a LOT of money for this home and were not afforded the courtesy of a one hour later check out, but were offered a bribe instead of a courtesy. We made sure we checked out before 10:00 AM.How ironic. We would have given 5-stars if we had not received that unethical response."

"This was a great property for our large family. We had 8 adults and 2 children and needed a spacious home close to Hickory and this was a great place. Very nice renovation of older home that added useful and elegant amenities. We enjoyed the spacious living room, the Pac-Man arcade and especially the outdoor ping-pong table. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone needing lots of beds and space in the area."
