We absolutely loved the place! Beautifully decorated and homey. Everything you need for cooking is there and the location is within walking distance of the downtown
Our stay was great. Fantastic location. Beautiful quaint two story cottage with lots of room and well-equipped. Great place to stay while in Picture Rocks National Lakeshore area.
We totally enjoyed our stay! The home was beautiful and had everything we needed! The location was perfect for visiting Pictured Rock and all the beautiful waterfalls.
We truly enjoyed our vacation at this beautiful property! The house was exceptionally clean, and we loved the way it was decorated. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, town, and restaurants. As a family, we hiked nearly thirty miles over the course of our time there and had fun putting together two puzzles. The pictured rocks, hiking trails, and cool weather made for a great trip! We hope to come back soon.
Our stay was extremely pleasant and cozy. The beds were so comfortable and we slept great. We had plenty of room and the house was so cute not to mention the awesome view. The kitchen was well equipped we did not need a thing.
The house is adorable - even cuter in person. They have made it so comfortable and provide everything you need in an obvious place. It is also extremely convenient to both the docks for the Pictured Rocks and all the beaches and hiking. We had such a wonderful stay.
Love staying in this cozy home with antique decorations (not pictures of deer) and comfortable furniture :)This is our 4th multi-day stay for xc skiing and it never disappoints. Thanks, hosts!!!
We absolutely enjoyed our stay. It was a very peaceful setting, and the view of the Lake Superior Bay was very much enjoyed! Everything we needed was in the kitchen, and the mattresses were very comfortable. Extra supply of towels were provided too. I would highly recommend this home for a stay to explore the beautiful area.
It was an older style cottage but very clean and had all the essentials and sleeping was comfortable. Great location, close to town and hiking at Pictured Rocks and golfing. Nice and close to stores and the town area for food, coffee or shops to visit. Loved our short stay. The house was very cozy at night relaxing by the TV. We felt at home.
Hosts have provided everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Linens are top notch. Kitchen has everything needed and more. Location is great -- quiet and great views. Lot
The house was very cozy and filled with really nice artwork, collectibles, and comfy beds and couches. We utilized the fire pit and had a roaring fires a couple of nights, and utilized all the extra blankets available to us as it got plenty cold at night! Absolutely perfect location for all the hikes and water activities in pictured rocks national Lakeshore and vicinity. Would highly recommend this place, we were very comfortable and had plenty of room for four of us..
This little gym has it all! The location is ideal for seeing the sites that the northernup has to offer. The house itself is so comfortable and filled with things you never thought you would need, but one of using. To sit on the front porch by the apple tree in bird feeders and watch the sunset is a gift
We enjoyed our stay in Elise and Randy‘s cottage. It was comfortable, extremely clean, had comfortable bedding, and there was great water pressure with plenty of hot water. It was also very well stocked. We did not need to communicate with the hosts while we were there because all of the information we needed was already provided which made the stay stress free. We would stay here again if in the area. One note: the stairs to the second floor where the bedrooms are and to the basement where the full sized washer and dryer are located are narrow and a bit steep. They could be troublesome for someone with mobility issues or those traveling with young children.
Great little house! It rained during a lot of our visit, but it was the perfect cozy little place to watch the storm and spend our time. Had everything we could possibly want. We do like to walk rather than drive, and it wasn’t in a walking-to-town location (no sidewalks) BUT there is a great little lakeside park across the street for picnics, etc!
The cottage was very well kept up, clean, and orgaized. Only negative was the master bed was way to hard and the other bed was too soft. So sleeping was a little tough for us. We liked how cozy and homie the cottage was.
Such a charming, cozy place to call home on our U.P. journey. We miss it already! This house has such good energy. It has been well-loved and we felt connected us to generations past. From the decor, books & games; comfy pillows & throws, super-stocked kitchen, tons of linens, many amenities & new washer/dryer, to the convenience of location and lake proximity, this house is beautifully situated and thoughtfully appointed. 2 couples from 1 family reunited here and had a super time. One thing to know if you're considering this rental is that you need healthy knee and hip joints to navigate the high-riser/narrow-tread stairs to the bedrooms. (Though the main floor sofa is large and comfy if needed.)
The house was older than I had realized when I booked it and it had some fun quirks like varied old style hardwood floors and some cool big timber supports visible in the basement that we really enjoyed. Fun for us to stay in. Visiting in September we needed neither heat nor air but house was just a little cool at night and there was a wonderful assortment of throws available that were perfect to use. House was well stocked, comfortable and everything worked fine. The bedrooms were upstairs as was the 1/2 bath. It would have been more convenient if the full bath had been upstairs instead of downstairs but not a big deal for a few days. The bed we slept on was very comfortable. My only caution would be that the stairs are quite steep going upstairs and there was no railing on the stairs to the basement, something to be aware of if you have balance or mobility issues. Would book again.
