9.4/10 Exceptional! (619 reviews)
I've been staying at the Conservatorium regularly for 12 years now, and it is remarkably consistent: great location, awesome people, striking architecture, and the best gym of all the 5-star hotels in Amsterdam.
This year, though, there was one welcome change and one not-so-great one: the breakfast has improved, with the addition of a buffet, which is convenient. But they also seem to have started letting local residents use the gym, so it's now super-packed at all hours, and you have to wait for machines.
The gym has always been a big part of why I stayed there, so that's disappointing.

Daily breakfast was great, although the same thing was served daily. Hotel is accessible to everything. Close to restaurants. The downside is the room has no drawers for clothing storage and not much good lighting to put on makeup.

"The pods are comfortable and the open area in the room although it is small gives you ample room to store your luggage and get changed. The price for food in the hotel is a little high but not unusual for Rotterdam. If you want alternatives for food there are plenty of choices near by. It is also ..."

9.2/10 Wonderful! (1,189 reviews)
"Great location and smart clean hotel, all the staff were very friendly. The only caution I would add is breakfast is self service, you select and pay for what you want. If you want a sit down service, you won’t get that here. This worked well for us, you can always go out as there are lots of places ..."
